[It wasn't fair.]

[Liquid Snake was the master of all that lay within his sight back home. Shadow Moses--no, his Outer Heaven--and all the world beyond it was his and his alone.]

[So why did he persistently lose to that stupid, sentimental version of himself? It made no logical sense. Emmerich was his, plain and simple. Liquid had won mastery over the scientist when he destroyed Snake. How could he lose now?!]

[He scowled to himself as he wandered the halls, trying to make sense of it all.]

[Do you know what many Liquids hate more than anything?]

[Nope, not Snake. Guess again. No, not Big Boss either.]

[Doors. There is an unspoken blood feud between countless Liquids and doors. How dare they obstruct the world's greatest soldier from traveling between points A and B? Countless numbers of these wooden adversaries are kicked in by Liquids wielding combat boots every. Single. Day.]

[But dammit, they are going to fight back. Today is the day the doors take a goddamn stand.]

[There is a room in the Nexus full of doors--but no, not just any doors. Not the kickable doors that are the bane of all Liquids' existences.]

[REVOLVING. FUCKING. DOORS.]

[SHIT JUST GOT VERY REAL.]

[Mingle room~ WAGE BLOODY WAR ON THE UNKICKABLE DOORS!]

[The young Liquid is sweeping through the halls on the hunt.]

[When he'd first discovered the broken Hal was gone from his rooms, he'd restrained himself from going after him. Otacon was a grown man, and not his prisoner. No doubt he wanted time to himself.]

[However, it had been too long without a word from him. It was entirely possible he'd gone back to the bastard Liquid from his own world from sheer force of habit. Liquid knows something about craving the approval of someone who's done nothing but reject you.]

[He yanks a door open and sticks his head in. He's instantly drenched. Water room. He punches the shark back into it and slams the door closed.]

[He tries the CODEC as he prowls.] //Otacon? Are you there?//

((OOC: Looking for [livejournal.com profile] no_philanthropy and [livejournal.com profile] sepentofheaven specifically, but others are welcome to join in.))

[Hal disappeared after the "game" had ended. The past three days had been filled with a constant undercurrent of confusion, dread, and paranoia...Having it all end suddenly the way it did left him feeling drained. Empty. Used. He'd been lied to again. People had died again.]

[He hasn't returned to the home he'd been sharing with [livejournal.com profile] whyamisobritish and isn't likely to for some time. He needed time to think, to regroup. Snake hadn't had a choice in what he'd done, Hal knew that, intellectually. Emotionally, the man couldn't shake his feelings of betrayal. He continues to walk aimlessly through the nexus halls.]

[((Hal is locked to [livejournal.com profile] serpentofheaven. Anyone who might be looking for the nerdy engineer will probably only find other people who are looking for the nerdy engineer.))]

[This was all wrong. Wherever he was...it wasn't Shadow Moses. Wasn't his Outer Heaven.]

[No, it was some kitchen in who-the-hell-knows where.]

[Liquid did not exactly approve of this. In fact, one would say he was damn well pissed off. Although he had been in amuch better mood than usual, so really he was only marginally angry. More confused, really; as most would be upon suddenly arriving in a random kitchen.]

[ooc: Ever think about what happens if you get a Game Over and don't continue? This guy happens, that's what. Because obviously Foxy needed more AU Liquids TL;DR, Snake got squooshed by REX. Bad End.]
