[It had been quiet for the ghostly Boss.

Apart from her training of that one Otacon, a factor that had forced her into living form several times now, there was little to hold her attention. Being human was not something that interested her. She had loved, she had lost, and she would never recover in part what she had lost in her human life. But now she had a new life, the afterlife, and things were good.]

...

[She sat at an empty table in the fifth floor lobby, a handful of cards in her still-human hand. Laila was just killing time until she returned to death - it would not be long. That transition would begin again soon. For the moment, she focused on the game. The cards were different to any playing cards the rest of the Nexus would know. They held pictures of people from the Nexus - Otacon, the older Liquid, Talib, Sorrow and others. Each card was imbued with a name, and on the back was written a word, unique to that card despite the multiples.]

So all the pieces are in play... I wonder what fate has in store?

[...she missed having godly powers. But at least she had some of her abilities here.]

(She's feeling introspective and she has your face on her playing cards. Maybe, if you ask nicely, she'll play poker with you! ...or maybe she'll just look at you.)

[There's a fight that has spilled into the hallway. The ghostly Boss, [livejournal.com profile] outmyafterlife, has squared off against what used to be Talib near the room hosting the Ocelots' birthday celebration and the spectacle may be audible or even visible to those who are sensitive to the dead. Possibly even those who are not sensitive, as Talib's rage has influenced the living world before...]

[Talib has lost himself, transforming into a nightmare of shifting horrors, a Frankenstein creation of hellish beasts and flame. There is little beyond his desire to destroy the Boss; what for, he is no longer there to remember. He beats his wings and dives, screaming like a jaguar as he seek to claw the woman to pieces.]

((ooc: Open to all. Get popcorn, try to help, listen to whatever may be spoken, or run like hell. Boss knows about what Talib did to two of her sons; he bragged loudly about it at the party. She is not happy. Talib may attack those who watch, but his mind isn't really there anymore.))

Well, damn.

[After having encountered the only Sorrow in a million-mile radius who wouldn't be on her like an MGS guard on porn, the all-powerful Ghost Boss was... moping. She floated high up near the roof of the hall, lost in thought. Of all things, she hadn't expected this. Part of her is aching inside, but the rest of her, the smarter part of her, is angry at that. Of course he had a right to love someone else. Of course she was dead and he was not. Still, it hurt.]

(Boss is being emo and possibly bitchy. Approach with caution.)

[There is a ghost here. She's floating in the middle of a hallway, looking pissy. She often looks pissy. She's pretty sure she was just in the afterlife, but if she was in the afterlife, where did Sorrow go, and WHERE THE HELL DID ALL THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?]

...well, this is alarming. I'm sure we were keeping most of these people alive... The Sorrow, is this revenge for letting Liquid die as a punishment?

[...oh, she's so going to shoot Sorrow again if he's just getting revenge. As if Volgin and Liquid weren't bad enough to have in the afterlife...]
