[He closes his eye and seemingly melts in place comfortably. She feels soft and warm against him and he's in a strange place between being excited and relaxed at the same time.]

[She doesn't bother him about it anymore. She just looks at nothing in particular in the distance, remaining close to him. She remembers the movie date with Ivanya tomorrow and feels a little guilty that she lays here with another person, when she had been so close to the Russian.

Still, she remains in the same spot. Ivanya still means as much to her as before and she's glad she appeared again, but she hopes that she won't ever have to admit what she is doing now.

She softly murmurs,] I promise I'll stop rambling now so you can go to sleep.

[He just sighs quietly and tries to lay still so that he can drift off...but it's difficult. He can barely sleep by himself as it is. Being in a strange bed with a beautiful woman makes it virtually impossible, but he'll be quiet so that Jane can get the rest that she needs.]

[She leans forward a bit, her chest now firmly pressed against his. She lips gently brush against his cheek.]

Goodnight, Snake.

[Then, she nestles herself back against him, knowing very well that she herself won't be able to properly sleep.]

[He doesn't move for a while, because he doesn't want to wake her once she's asleep. John hopes that he, at least, makes a decent pillow.]

[For what feels like hours (but really is only about twenty minutes), she keeps her eyes shut, trying to distract herself from the thoughts mulling around in her mind. She tries to focus on replaying a movie in her mind, counting sheep, or even thinking about everything so it will get out of her mind.

No use. She can't sleep. Gently, she slides away, trying her best not to disturb him and sits on the edge of the bed. Her shoulders slowly rising and then falling when she lets out a sigh.

She sits there, doing nothing but thinking and distracting herself from thinking.]

_{...what's wrong?}

[He lays completely on his back and turns his head to gaze at her graceful silhouette in the dark.]

[She turns her head to look at him, a small smile on her face.]

I'm sorry, did I wake you up? I didn't mean to.

No. I can barely sleep at home...there's no way I can sleep here. Don't worry about it.

[He turns his head to stare back up at the dark ceiling.]

[She turns to look straight in front of her again, her back straighter than a board.]

Then what should we do? As much as I like spending time with you, I would enjoy it if I could fall asleep.

If I am keeping you awake, I should leave. You have things to do tomorrow and I should be hindering you for getting the proper rest that you need.

No, it would still be the same...

[She sighs, sliding herself under the covers and against him, again.]

I'll just try to find something to take tomorrow night so I can sleep. I don't usually condone sleeping pills, but I'd rather sleep just once than have godawful bags under my eyes.

Hnn? Really?

[He turns on his side to face her offering his softest side to her. John then wraps his arm around her, rubbing her back.]

_{Just relax.}

[She presses her cheek against his chest, listening to his heartbeat, hoping it will make her relax.]

I've stayed up plenty of nights before on the battlefield, but it's unhealthy to not sleep for so long.

[She enjoys his hand on her back, though. It feels like forever since she's properly been held like this. Some part of her misses it. It's not... a need. She doesn't need to be comforted. Enjoying it once in awhile couldn't hurt, though.]

[His heart sounds slow and steady.]

Exactly, so try to sleep.

[Even the loneliest of hermits needs some Human contact sometime.]

Mn. [She places her hand on his chest.] I can't promise I will, though.

Please try. You don't want to have baggy eyes like mine. [And his one eye has quite the bag underneath it.]

[She softly laughs.] Yeah, I have to keep my beauty for a little while longer.

[Lifting her head up, she smiles. An odd look in her eyes.] Will you at least kiss me goodnight?

You desire it so that is what you shall get.

[He leans in closer and plants a soft kiss on her lips.]

[She smiles into the kiss before pressing her lips back. An arm slides around his neck, her body softly pressing against his.]

[He gives her another little kiss before speaking quietly against her lips.]

_{This is nice~}

[She gives a pleased smile, closing her eyes.]

_{I like it just fine.}

[He's just grown to be very cautious with women, especially women he likes.]

[She gives him a quick peck on the lips.]

[Old John chuckles at this.]

_{I don't think we will ever get to sleep at this rate. Do you?}
