[Hey look. It's yet another Otacon. Though it's fair to say this one has been here for a while... but he's been busy, as per usual. Of course, he did take some time away with
auld_serpent, but now his confidence had been boosted, enough to kick start him into gear and finish his Mk. II.]
[He was listening to Ayumi Hamasaki as he worked on his computer, the robot hooked up to said machine. He watched it twitch and twirl, until finally... a big grin graced his face.]
Oh man. I did it!
[He bends over to clasp his hands over his creation, hauling it up in his lap proudly. It whirled about in his lap, showing a mirrored excitement to its creator.]
[He's forgotten what month it is, and also that his birthday is coming up on the 20th. Perhaps subconciously, he knows, but he doesn't seem to be showing any signs of celebrating. Time flew by when Otacon was concerned, so of course, he has no concept what month it is right now.]
[Now that he had finished, however, something dawned on him; Snake didn't need it. But he could still set out to use it as a device to keep tabs on the Nexus, especially considering how there have been a few threats in his lifetime here. He wasn't prepared to let anyone get away with anything anymore, and hopefully would be able to find out information before they decided to actually attack. With the added effects of stealth, no one would be able to detect it, so he should be able to get away with it.]
[Of course, now he's been up for three days straight, so someone might want to grab him a coffee... or sleeping pills.]

[He helps David up to his feet, following him to standing position.]
So what have you been up to? I haven't seen you in a while... Granted, I've been a little busy myself--

Not much. Eating. Sleeping.
I don't have a lot to do around here, really.
It's driving me batty.

You know, it's pretty crazy but... I kind of miss finding Metal Gears and taking them down. I know my past selves would think I'm crazy for actually missing the thrill of nearly getting caught by the government or coming close to death.
But...
[He smiled a little wistfully.] It was fun, wasn't it?

I feel guilty sometimes for feeling that way... but I find it difficult keeping myself busy when I have no work to do.
Now that Mk. II is completed, I'm not too sure what I'll have left to work on.

You could build something else? Or...maybe you could teach me how to play video games. Been spending a lot of time at home, messing around with them lately.
I'm not so good.

[He paused in thought.] Something else? Like what?
... [He peered at Dave with a bit of scrutiny beneath the frame of his glasses.] You want to play video games.

What sort of games? [He was clearly apprehensive, not trusting Dave's l33t gaming skillz.]

Brings back memories...but that game makes my ass look big.

The first one had no storyline to it... Well. Barely. I'm usually pretty tolerant on structural video games but there was no meat to it whatsoever.
I mean, come on, Snake. That's not really how your mission happened, is it?
no subject
Not so much. I still think I liked Shadow Moses without GEKKO better. [He nods matter-of-factly.]
We all looked so weird back then, huh?
no subject
[He relaxed a little with a smile.] Yeah. Me too. Minus Fox... and the whole... locker-wetting-pants thing.
[Yeaaah.]
We did... We've all changed so much. I guess I was destined to dye my hair forever.

[He learned how to use a brush, that's why.]

[Oh yeah, that's a pout.]

[He tilts his head.]
I'd like it no matter what color you choose.

I don't know about that-
Big Boss, maybe.

But I guess I'm biased.
