[Hey look. It's yet another Otacon. Though it's fair to say this one has been here for a while... but he's been busy, as per usual. Of course, he did take some time away with
auld_serpent, but now his confidence had been boosted, enough to kick start him into gear and finish his Mk. II.]
[He was listening to Ayumi Hamasaki as he worked on his computer, the robot hooked up to said machine. He watched it twitch and twirl, until finally... a big grin graced his face.]
Oh man. I did it!
[He bends over to clasp his hands over his creation, hauling it up in his lap proudly. It whirled about in his lap, showing a mirrored excitement to its creator.]
[He's forgotten what month it is, and also that his birthday is coming up on the 20th. Perhaps subconciously, he knows, but he doesn't seem to be showing any signs of celebrating. Time flew by when Otacon was concerned, so of course, he has no concept what month it is right now.]
[Now that he had finished, however, something dawned on him; Snake didn't need it. But he could still set out to use it as a device to keep tabs on the Nexus, especially considering how there have been a few threats in his lifetime here. He wasn't prepared to let anyone get away with anything anymore, and hopefully would be able to find out information before they decided to actually attack. With the added effects of stealth, no one would be able to detect it, so he should be able to get away with it.]
[Of course, now he's been up for three days straight, so someone might want to grab him a coffee... or sleeping pills.]

...
[It's been some time since he's met an Emma here, but definitely not the first time.]
Ah... Yeah. It is. How do you know that?

What? Sunny?
[Yeah, Otacon's having a bit of trouble getting his head around that concept.]

... I didn't make it out in your world, did I.

Are you looking for something?
no subject
[He lifts his head to peer at Otacon and his work.]
What are you doing? You look really tired.
no subject
[He smiled proudly.] Nope. I don't need help. I've finished.
[He adjusts the minature Metal Gear on the floor, which set to move on its own, wheeling towards Snake.] It took a long time to complete but... I think it turned out great.
no subject
[He crouches down to get a closer look, sore back be damned.]

Oh yeah! And I took your advice; there's a compartment that fires tranquilizer darts, along with this...
[He lets the wire whirl out.] That electrocutes people. I managed to get it to work.

"Hal...?"

[He raised an eyebrow; he wasn't used to female company.] Can I help you, miss?
no subject
"Ah, yes. I'm looking for my twin sister. She should be around here somewhere..."
no subject
Uh... You wouldn't happen to be Liquid, would you?

Finally finished it, huh?
no subject
I did. It looks pretty neat, huh?
Now I can sneak up on you wherever you are in the Nexus. [He turned around in his chair to face Dave.]
no subject
[Dave straightens at that thought.] Why... would you want to sneak up on me? [He hopes his face comes across as innocent. Or as near as he can get to it.]
no subject
It wouldn't hurt to take a peek. She opens the door, takes a look around and sees Hal with the little Mark II.]
Now that is an interesting looking thing. [She says out loud with smile, still standing at the door and gazing at the small robot.]
no subject
[He smiled hesitantly, not immediately recognising this woman.] You really think so?
[He adjusts his glasses, not sure if he should go into too much detail about it in case he scared her away with technical terminology.]
no subject
What is it capable of? How you build that? How long did it take? [She's just to excited and doesn't realize she's throwing way too many questions at him at the same time.]
no subject
[He can see that excitement, and it catches Otacon off guard. He smiles warmly, shifting aside to let the new woman see his creation.]
It's ahh, a minature robot. Sort of like a helper... Because I'm an engineer and tech support, I don't go out onto the battlefield. It was supposed to help my partner out.
[He smiled timidly.] But since there are no battles here, it's just used to track information in the nexus, in case something comes up. It took a couple of years to complete. I already made one on a larger scale.
[His expression softens.]

Argh! Sorry for the grammar in my past answer. I just noticed how horrible it is XP
