[If anything, the past few weeks have made Jane considerably tired. She knows there's even more to learn about what goes on in the future of her own time, but what she already knows has constantly worn her down. It was tough trying to prove to others that you're presently not that monster you become and that you're trying to change it. She knows very well enough that she can prove to them- all of them, Ocelot, Frank, even the Big Bosses and EVA- that she's darn well determined to make herself not become that woman.
Right now, the least thing Jane should be doing is be alone with her thoughts. But right now, she's doing just that. The chaos from the past few days hasn't effected the beach one bit and she's very thankful for that. Sitting on the sand proved to be fairly calming.
If there was anything that made her at ease, it was the beach. The weather here was always absolutely perfect. It was fairly warm, but not to the point where it made her wish she was back inside. The wind was soft, gently brushing past her shoulders, and the ocean was, as always, beautiful and calming.
For now, she'll take the time to admire the scenery, being stuck in her own little world for the time being.]

*kwee!*
*KWEE!*
*KWEE!!*
[Sorry to interrupt your thoughts, Doctor Clark... But here comes a Null chasing some sandpipers along the shore.]

Seeing this scene played out in front of her is too adorable to spoil by interrupting his concentration.]

[He turns to face her and approaches, giving her a nod of acknowledgment]
Doctor Clark.

I don't think the sandpipers like you trying to catch them very much.
no subject
[He steps closer, not at all opposed to sitting down in the sand near her. Something tells him she wouldn't mind his company right now.]
...Did you want me to catch one for you?
no subject
What would I do with it? I don't think sandpipers would make good pets, as cute as they are.
no subject
[His tone is completely flat. Like father, like son.]

Why would I want to eat a sandpiper? They're too cute! Plus, they weren't meant to eat, anyway. [She looks towards the small birds hopping along the shore.] They're meant to be admired.
no subject
Does that mean we're not having sandpiper when we finally have our friend-date?
no subject
I don't think it would be very good, anyway. Wouldn't you rather have something else?
no subject
...Calorie mate?

liquid's totally not stalking her shut up <3
she totally likes it anyway <3
She almost considers leaving James alone, but lately, talking to him has put her mind off some things she would rather stop thinking about right now. For a moment, she watches him with her chin in her hand, elbow leaning against her knee. He was certainly an interesting man, pessimistic, too. Still, she enjoyed his company, mainly for the fact that they talked like good friends instead of a clone and his creator.
"I never thought I'd see you out here," she softly calls out to him.
who wouldn't? <3
"Jane." He regarded her with a slight smile, relaxing somewhat. He had been off his guard for a moment, and that fact unsettled him. He had to be more careful around here.
pfttt, egotist!
"It might be fake, but it's still beautiful," she looks at him with another smile. "Isn't it?"
well duh 8D
"Actually...yes, it is." he replied. "It's rare for me to see a place this peaceful."

Whether she means these past few days, or these past few weeks is up to his interpretation.

"Even if it is," she says with a sad smile. "It still brings back nothing but good memories from my childhood."
Those, she knows, are real. Even if this sky and water aren't.
no subject
"That's good, at least." he remarked. Fond childhood memories were another alien concept.

[Seeing Para-Medic in the distance though, she totally set her stuff a few feet away from her. She was one of the couple of people that she ran into, aside from maybe Kyle, that actually seemed to have any social skills. Even if quiet people were seemingly her type, hence her secret crush on Solid Snake, it drove her crazy to not be able to talk to anyone for a long period of time!]

She gives a small wave to her.]
Hello, Diane! Yeah, it's gorgeous, isn't it?

[She sighed happily, reclining her figure against the sand.]
