(no subject)

[If anything, the past few weeks have made Jane considerably tired. She knows there's even more to learn about what goes on in the future of her own time, but what she already knows has constantly worn her down. It was tough trying to prove to others that you're presently not that monster you become and that you're trying to change it. She knows very well enough that she can prove to them- all of them, Ocelot, Frank, even the Big Bosses and EVA- that she's darn well determined to make herself not become that woman.

Right now, the least thing Jane should be doing is be alone with her thoughts. But right now, she's doing just that. The chaos from the past few days hasn't effected the beach one bit and she's very thankful for that. Sitting on the sand proved to be fairly calming.

If there was anything that made her at ease, it was the beach. The weather here was always absolutely perfect. It was fairly warm, but not to the point where it made her wish she was back inside. The wind was soft, gently brushing past her shoulders, and the ocean was, as always, beautiful and calming.

For now, she'll take the time to admire the scenery, being stuck in her own little world for the time being.]

*kwee!*

*kwee!*

*KWEE!*

*KWEE!!*

[Sorry to interrupt your thoughts, Doctor Clark... But here comes a Null chasing some sandpipers along the shore.]

[He slows his pace as he catches sight of Jane from the corner of his eye, allowing the sandpipers to skitter away along the wet sand, making their little kwees as they hop.]

[He turns to face her and approaches, giving her a nod of acknowledgment]

Doctor Clark.

If I wanted to catch one, I would have.

[He steps closer, not at all opposed to sitting down in the sand near her. Something tells him she wouldn't mind his company right now.]

...Did you want me to catch one for you?

[identity profile] stoicism.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
...You could eat it.

[His tone is completely flat. Like father, like son.]

liquid's totally not stalking her shut up <3

Liquid had never really been to a beach--at least, not one that wasn't covered in soldiers out for his blood. The fact that this one was apparently just in a random room off a hallway was mildly confusing, to say the least. He stood there staring at the water for a moment or two, seemingly oblivious to the woman a few yards away.

[Comfortable enough around the good doctor, he lays down in the sand, resting his head on his arms. He turns his head on its side to look up at her.]

Does that mean we're not having sandpiper when we finally have our friend-date?

who wouldn't? <3

Liquid's shoulders tensed slightly and his hand rested on the handle of his Beretta as he turned to face the source of the voice; it took about half a second for it to register as something that wasn't hostile.

"Jane." He regarded her with a slight smile, relaxing somewhat. He had been off his guard for a moment, and that fact unsettled him. He had to be more careful around here.

[He pauses, trying to think of something he'd like. He's grown so accustomed to either Elisa preparing all his meals or simply going out and catching something on his own, he's never really had to decide on something. Meals would consist of whatever Elisa suggested or whatever he trapped first.]

...Calorie mate?

...What is the difference between 'grilled cheese' and cheese that has been melted?

[identity profile] stoicism.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps 'toasted bread with cheese and meat' would have been a more acceptable name.

[He nods]

...Should I still make coffee cake? I am capable of making other food now.

[He shakes his head.]

I learned how to cook noodles and a man that looks like Big Boss taught me how to make an omelette.

Big Boss has no offspring.

It was a man with two eyes that resembled Big Boss. I did not learn his name.
