[Free and Easy]
[There's this young Big Boss lurking around the first floor. He doesn't want to venture too far in case his kid or the recently injured little Ocelot needs him, but he's pretty sure that won't be the case. Regardless, he wants to be responsible, so he's only muddling around on his floor. He's currently in the kitchen, of course, just milling around while he waits for his coffee to finish brewing.]

I'm making coffee. I hope you're feeling better. Not sure how well I was able to CURE you, but I can check you again?

[He takes a few steps forward, handing John the box. Inside is a packet of cigars and a small package of chocolate.]

[John glances away again, immediately remembering the last conversation they had. It didn't end so well. He doesn't know what he did wrong...]

[Snake grumbles and works his way out of it. He stores is back in his inventory and approaches John.]

[If he had, he could have done it. John couldn't have picked up on David's scent over the freshly brewing coffee.]

[He chortles thinking that he's hearing her voice in his head. He hasn't been sane for a while, and he's learned to take the voices as they come with a grain of salt. He tilts his head as he stares at the coffee pot, willing it to brew faster.]

She proceeds forward, crossing the kitchen in but a silent stride. The Patriot now stands off to the side of him, partially visible through the corner of his eye.]
Turn around, Jack.

[Once more, this theory has proven correct. With his tracking successful, the young soldier stands in the doorway and throws a hand up in a salute.]

...I require butter. Where is it located?
no subject
It's in the fridge.
[He quirks a brow at the boy actually preparing edibles. John can't recall the last time he saw him handling actual 'normal' food.]

[He turns to face him.]
How are you feeling?! [He looks him over, trying to scrutinize his current level of health with just a gaze.]
no subject
Not bad. I don't need the splint anymore. I guess you know what you're doing when it comes to quick treatment.
[It's still too sore and weak to do gun tricks with yet, but he leaves that detail out.]
no subject
Good. Much better.
So, you are gonna keep yourself out of trouble for a little while?
