[There is a Raiden trapped in a cage in the middle of a room. He's naked and unarmed. The room is notably empty save for the cage, which is perched on a raised platform. Solidus has been working hard on setting up this trap. He is standing at the bottom of the steps leading to the platform, smirking up at him.]

Just be patient, Jack. Play nice and nobody will have to get hurt.

[...this is not going to do much for his planned attempt to reconcile with the man. But revenge is more important. He dismisses the thought that Big Boss would probably not be pleased.]

[Ocelot twirls the revolver back, sliding it back into a holster with the scrape of metal on stiff leather.]

It's over, King. Shall we let the boy go?

[He watches Solidus, waiting for him to recover. He steps closer to the younger (but older-looking) man, close enough to touch him, but he doesn't reach out to do so. He expects Solidus's suit still carries a bit of a charge, and he doesn't want to give himself a shock.]

[He feels like he's going to pass out, but he manages to get to his feet anyway.]

[He cracks the lock open, pushing the door open. He obviously doesn't see a naked weapons-stripped Raiden as threat.]

[He ignores Raiden, waiting until the last spark of electricity has ended before he draws out the rope ladder he'd kept hidden for the end of it. It's easy enough to fix one end up. He uses the boosters in the back of the exoskeleton to pass over the water easily, and fixes the other.]

[Raiden darts out, running like hell away from the two crazy men. ... Or three, but one of them's down for the count right now. He'll have to ask someone about them later, but for now he needs clothing and weapons.]
