Prisoner ahoy~.
[There is a Raiden trapped in a cage in the middle of a room. He's naked and unarmed. The room is notably empty save for the cage, which is perched on a raised platform. Solidus has been working hard on setting up this trap. He is standing at the bottom of the steps leading to the platform, smirking up at him.]
Just be patient, Jack. Play nice and nobody will have to get hurt.
[...this is not going to do much for his planned attempt to reconcile with the man. But revenge is more important. He dismisses the thought that Big Boss would probably not be pleased.]

[He's not expecting an answer, but he might as well try.]
no subject
[He smirks.]
no subject
no subject
[He's. Not sure which one you're referring to since this place is really weird. But still...]
Why are you doing this?
no subject
[He indicates some pipes up above as he ascends the steps.]
The water will give us quite the advantage.
[Stopping beside the cage, he shoots Raiden a look and whispers.]
He hurt someone important to me. I'm going to kill him.

[He shuts up, and just sits in the cage, trying to figure out what to do next. ... And also cover his private parts.]
no subject
Heh. Be grateful, Raiden. The water will keep you from being electrocuted.
[And with that cryptic statement, there is a very large water-based barrier between the small platform at the door and the platform with the cage on it.]
no subject
Relax, Carrier Boy. Being the bait is the easy part. Just keep quiet and you'll do your job quickly.
no subject
[He's good at taking orders... when he wants to. 8| ]
no subject
[Even if he doesn't, there are explosives fixed to the bottom of the platform in front of the door. He offers Ocelot the trigger.]
Do you want to do the honors if the bait isn't enough to make him risk the water?
no subject
If it comes to that. Our guest should be plenty distracted by the boy.
no subject
[He smirks.]

[He found the door he'd been invited to and opened it slowly. The sight of the room beyond made him freeze, his eyes darkening with anger. He stepped out onto the platform, staring at the three figures on the platform opposite - and the mass of water separating them.]
What did you do?!
no subject
Think you can? Come get him.
no subject
[The rest of that sentence sinks in rather slowly.]
..."had your fun"?! What did you do, you ?!
[Electricity is surging over him. He wants to hurt them, even if it isn't true, but the water... there's no way to get to them without going through it. It would be almost suicide. What to do?]
no subject
[... But the guy seems to be fond of electricity, and given that there's water and explosives around...]
[Dammit. There has to be a way out of this, but what is it?!]
Ngh...
no subject
Hmm... just going to stand there? Not going to save him? I thought you actually wanted him, Colonel. We'll gladly keep him if you don't.

[There's sudden agony coursing through him as his body reacts to the sudden submersion in water, but he's coming over there. The pain is almost unbearable. It seems never to end, as he struggles towards the other platform, but he reaches it. He's sorely weakened, but he reaches it.]
no subject
You... are going to pay for what you did.
[Enjoy the insane amount of pressure on your throat, Volgin.]
no subject
...But he's also quite enjoying the sense of deja vu he's getting, remembering how Big Boss had taken on Volgin himself before.]

[The exoskeleton should have been able to handle electricity, even lower the effect of it. It wasn't doing it. He let the man fall, staggering back and falling to one knee as he tried to recover his breathing. That was going to leave a few burns, although he wasn't going to give up. He drew his swords.]
Enjoying the show, Ocelot?
no subject
It's only beginning, King. Let me know if you get tired of one-on-one.
no subject
[He starts pulling at the bars of the cage, though he's not stupid enough to think that doing so will actually accomplish anything.]
1/2
[That couldn't be. The Major who had been helping him for so long... was helping someone trying to kill him? And those words from earlier...]
How could you?! How could you hurt Ivan, Ocelot?! No matter what he's done, you two were comrades! You were one of the family, you bastard.
[Solidus be damned, he's heading for Ocelot whether he likes it or not.]
2/2
[He smiles, though the smile fades when Volgin turns his attention away.]
Ocelot, be careful! You may not have a choice!

[There's a few bullets headed in Ocelot's direction suddenly, fired from Volgin's hand.]
no subject
I'm afraid my ties to GRU are long dead, former comrade.
1/3
[He glares.]
You'd turn your back on us? After all we've done for you?
2/3
His time with GRU is past history. No sense in dwelling on the past, right?
[He twists the sword and jerks it out.]
3/3
Ngh...
[...leaving him wide open to attack from Ocelot's direction.]
no subject
[He aims at Volgin's head, and dispassionately fires off several rounds.]

...haaah...
[He can't breathe. There are black spots dancing behind his eyes.]
no subject
It's over, King. Shall we let the boy go?
[He watches Solidus, waiting for him to recover. He steps closer to the younger (but older-looking) man, close enough to touch him, but he doesn't reach out to do so. He expects Solidus's suit still carries a bit of a charge, and he doesn't want to give himself a shock.]
no subject
[He feels like he's going to pass out, but he manages to get to his feet anyway.]
We're done here.
[He's not dumb enough to step into the water like this, though.]
no subject
[He cracks the lock open, pushing the door open. He obviously doesn't see a naked weapons-stripped Raiden as threat.]
no subject
There, Ocelot. It should be easy for you to cross now.
