Better than a fairytale

Everyone has heard the story of Hansel and Gretel. They get sidetracked in a forest and are led to a mysterious looking house made out of gingerbread.

And of course, being that this was a Nexus, similar situations had to apply here.

As it just so happens, that fiesty Ocelot was walking down the hallway, attempting to figure out what to do with the build up of energy inside of him. He stopped abruptly, lifting his head and picked out a scent nearby.

Chocolate.

Immediately, he followed the scent that stopped at a brown door. Seeing as he was named after a feline, curiosity took hold of him and he pushed the door open. Inside the room was a small lane, and at the end of that lane was a house.

A house made out of chocolate.

Baffled and yet allured by the sight, Ocelot had no choice but to step inside and make his way down to the edible home.

You better stop him or join him, or he'll try to eat it by himself.

[Snake...hasn't really done much to lose anything. He looks the same as he did nearly a year ago.]

...

[This won't help his situation at all.]

I know you want to go and try it out, Snake. There's no point trying to hide it from me.

[He hid his grin as he adjusts his glasses.]

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not trying to hide anything. If I was, I'd be wearing a shirt twice as large as I need...

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hal snickered.]

I'm afraid to go try it in case we end up being as big as that house. As much as I love the added weight, I think we'd have trouble getting out of the door if we ate that much chocolate.

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think I could afford that to happen again...

[He gazes up at the house and licks his lips absently.]

Looks tasty, though.

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess one little taste can't hurt, right?

[He doesn't sound too convinced, but it looked really tasty.] Besides, if we don't try it, we might regret it. The sun might melt it before we have a chance to eat.

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You said that almost a year ago in reference to the truffles.

[He may be old, but like the computer code on Shadow Moses Island, he hasn't forgotten.]

Sun, huh? Maybe... [He peers at the house again.]

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wow... Uh...

[He grinned, scratching his head a little.]

You can try it first.

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooh nno.

Not again.

YOU try it first.

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Gaah!

Urk... I er... I think I'll have to pass.

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I thought so.

[Dave is just as reluctant as Hal is. He still remembers the details of that time with the truffles and he's not so willing to try the chocolate this time.]

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[It did smell really nice...]

...

[He shrugged his shoulders.] We really should stop finding rooms like this.

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Hn.

[He picks off some white chocolate stucco.] Really looks good... [The old man is really tempted to taste it and pay the consequences.]

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Am I gonna have to test it to see if it's all that bad?

Okay... I will. If you start to suspect that I might be putting on some weight, pull me out of the room, okay?

[He snaps off a little piece of chocolate brick and pops it into his mouth.]

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
[He watches him and waits for a reaction of any kind.]

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
It tastes perfect... And...

I don't have any cravings for more.

[Hal grinned.] Maybe just a little more.

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Dave chuckles.]

Be careful~

You never know.

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
Hey! Cut that out. You'll make me paranoid.

[He took off another little bit and chewed it thoughtfully.] It's definitely not the same as the truffles.

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
That was the point.

[He looks back to the house.] Yeah? How is it, then?

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Smooth... Though it looks like there are different types of chocolate.

Like... er, lining the windows? That sort of looks like it's made with a mixture of hazelnuts.

[Hal snapped off the door handle, and nibbled his way into the chocolate. He grinned.] And this is filled with caramel.

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Hazelnuts? [That piques his interest.]

Hnh. Let me try that- [He motions for a piece of that door handle.]

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah! Would you believe it?

[Hal offered over the door handle, licking his finger free from the caramel goodness.]

[identity profile] 0ldsnake.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[He takes it, gives the candy handle a second look, then bites into it. The creamy, chocolaty, caramel sweetness is simply divine.]

Mmmh~

[identity profile] otaconic.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Hal watched his friend with great pleasure. He grinned, rubbing the back of his head a little.]

Looks like I found your favorite type of chocolate, huh? I've never seen you make that face before.

[Only when... yeah. He's not going to mention that incident in the basement.]

(no subject)
