This hasn't been a good week.
[Things have not been going well for this Big Boss. She had to kill The Boss yesterday and learned today that 'ADAM' was a Chinese spy all along. Then, the government had the nerve to award her for killing her beloved mentor, fully knowing that she had never betrayed America. It was seeing the grave that broke her, though. After setting down The Boss' Patriot and some white flowers, she saluted and tried not to cry, but tears ran down her cheek, anyway.
She only closed her eye for a moment, but, when she opened it, she was no longer in the graveyard. She stopped saluting and wiped her tears away with her sleeve. She needed to figure out where she was.
It seemed clear now that the world hated her guts.]
((ooc: This is Para-Medic or, rather, Flying Snake from the
merylgearsolid AU. Basically, Para is Big Boss. Details on the MGS3 part of the AU can be found here. On that page, there is also a link to the original concept.))

[He walks over, and then gently touches her shoulder.]
Miss, are you okay?
no subject
My mentor just died.
[Simple statement of fact, but she made no mention of how she was the one who had pulled the trigger.]
no subject
I'm so sorry.
Want me to get you a beer? Leave you the hell alone?
no subject
It's fine. You didn't know.
I'm not a big fan of beer, but do you think you could get me a cup of green tea?
no subject
[He takes off, and after a moment has returned carefully carrying a cup of hot tea.]
I lucked out.
no subject
[She takes a small sip. It's still hot, but he did a good enough job.]
So, kitchens change into other things often around here?
no subject
[He smiles at her.]
First time here? My name is Little John, nice to meet you.
no subject
[John... The English version of Ivan. Hmm...]
Flying Snake. Nice to meet you.

Anoth-?!

Who's there?!

FREEZE!

Do you have a problem with me, or is pointing guns randomly at strangers customary around here?
[A light smirk plays on her face.]
no subject
Of all people I have a problem with, it's you. You're supposed to be dead. Someone must have a pretty sick sense of humor to bring you here.
no subject
Para didn't recognize it as a Sneaking Suit. She's used to the type that she and The Boss wore.Snake wondered what she could have done to get this woman pissed.]While I can agree with your second point, I don't know why you think I should be dead.

Out of all of those things, the only one I've actually heard of is Metal Gear, the walking tank Granin planned on making. I'm no expert in tech myself, but, according to Sigint, the whole idea is ridiculous.
[Jane noticed the girl was trembling a bit. It seemed like she was somehow provoking this woman, enough to make her let her guard down a bit. She inches a bit closer, trying to get in CQC range.]
Besides, how can you have killed me yourself if I've never met you before?
no subject
[]
I can fix that right now if I have to.
no subject
Perhaps the woman is scared. Scared like she was about killing the The Boss. Scared of being the one to take on an existence of endless warfare. Of course, Jane can't be sure. They're hardly the same person, after all. Still, the question is worth asking.]
Okay. Pull the trigger, then. What's stopping you?
Sorry, real life's been kicking ass and taking names. Mine in particular.
[]
What year are you from?
[]
Seems to be doing that to a lot of people lately, myself included.
[The question made her pause for a second before she remembered that The Pain said people here were from across time.]
September of '64. You?
[If the woman wanted information from her, she'd want to know a bit in return.]
:X
...
... Tch.
[]
February. 2005.
no subject
2005? The Pain said we came from across time, but I didn't think there'd be that much of a difference...
no subject
More differences than that, I'll guarantee you.
[]
... It's been a long time since I've seen your real face. It's weird seeing you so young.
no subject
Yes, it must be strange for you. I know it's odd for me to meet a woman who killed me twice whose name I don't even know.
I-I spread myself way too thin with these things ;A; Sorryyy
[]
It's okay. I've been sick, myself.
[Jane thinks that the expression on Silver's face is a bit odd.]
So, who exactly am I to you?
:B
[]
... Technically, you're my mother.
no subject
[Hold on. Let's let Jane process this.]
... Huh. So ADAM finally took the hint.
no subject
Figures, how often you went without your damn shirt. If you'd ever figured out your pants-... CLONE daughter. I didn't even know you were my mother until a few years ago.
Sorry, wrong account.
It seems you've mistaken me for Sniper. Also, I thought you weren't going to do the cloning thing.... Okay, so ADAM is still a bastard, and I actually let Para-Medic do her crazy experiments on me. And here I thought things couldn't get worse. At least Nastasha's still on my side...
Re: Sorry, wrong account.
Oh, why am I not surprised you knew her...
[]
no subject
One of these days, I should tell you about the Virtuous Mission and Operation Snake Eater, shouldn't I, Silver?
[I see what you mean. That would be tough to do. But how would the clones get Big Daddy's genes? They are clones...
It may have started as a joke, but it's still awesome. I still think
Hey, I think it's good that you're pointing this stuff out. It's better than me just staying confused.]

[Though Jane knows that, if Silver was anything like herself, she wouldn't, but it was always good to ask.]
((ooc: Yeah. I get the feeling we'd get more questions than answers with discussing Roy. I still have one completely random question, though. Who's 'Solidus'? Olga? Sorry, I just feel better if I know who all three clones are, even if we never see the third.))

((ooc: I see. Yeah, that was just randomly bugging me. Oh, MGS2...))
no subject
I don't think I really want to know what kind of impression.
[]
no subject
No, I didn't think you would. Ah, good ol' Nastasha. She may be batshit insane, but she's also adorable, what with that crush of her's.
((ooc: President Miller... I like it. But that brings up another big question. How did Sniper manage to imitate him, being female and all...))
no subject
[]
[OOC: .... Well, see, that's where the whole "joke canon" thing comes in handy, 'cuz we can chalk that sucker up to Meryl being sorta thick-headed. Yeah. :B It's not like anyone else talked to Miller but Snake, anyway. It's amazing HE fell for it. It was always a fairly transparent disguise, anyway, and moreover, you only ever see their face in the codec, anyway.]
