Boring? Yeah, right!
[It had been a couple of weeks since running into her room generated kid (who had since disappeared again), but the short amount of time she was in contact with her apparent son weighed heavily in her mind. It wasn't because of the fact that there was the possibility that she was going to have a kid, despite the fact that Natalia never wanted kids of her own. And it wasn't even because the father was apparently Fear, a man she somehow despised and yearned for at the same time. No, what had her in a quandary was that her own son referred to her as boring. And a nag. And a drunk.
Now, normally Natalia knew better to not look into the odder things of the nexus too much. HerAI common knowledge was too good for that. However, this was bothering her far more than it should have. With as work-obsessed as she was, was she losing sight of herself? Even if she was proud that her father put all of his faith into his line of work, he never changed who he was.
Natalia knew she was a bitch, and didn't really care if anyone else saw her that way as well. Kept people from taking advantage of her. However, one thing she was NOT, was boring! Her rebellious days of her pre-teens and teens were proof of that! But apparently, even her possible future family only referred to her as boring, naggy, and drunk. Sure, Natalia might be far more dedicated to serving her life on duty more than anything else, but no one would want to be exclusively remembered by those terms!]
[So this not-so-friendly neighborhood FROG soldier is currently venting her frustration over the matter by...surprisingly not drinking. No, instead she's shooting at bunch of pop cans, gathered from her very messy room, positioned around one of the lesser populated hallways of the nexus. If she sees you, she might give a half-ass attempt to be a little nicer to you, than she usually is with most strangers. Any friends of hers would be appreciated too. Surely not all of her friends felt the same way about her, right? If you're an enemy though? Yeah, don't expect any different from her. You are "the enemy" after all. ]
[Also, you might want to watch your step. She is shooting, after all. :|]

Mind if I join your practicing, Natalia?
no subject
Yeah...it's fine.
[She then gripped her gun again, steadying her wrist as she tried to decide on her next target.]
So why are you over in this part anyways? I thought you were patrolling a different hall today.
no subject
[He steps in, shrugging.]
Better than being forced into a dress.
[He pulls out his Tommy gun and gives the cans an appraising look.]
I think I have an unfair advantage in this.
no subject
[She had to smirk at the thought of Pain being in a dress. However, that wasn't saying too much, considering that she was wearing her helmet.]
I suppose so. At least you didn't get stuck with a randomly generated brat for three days.
[And with her thoughts drifting back to that "brat", she shot at another can.]
What makes you think that?
no subject
[What was that?]
A brat? This is the first I've heard. The Nexus gave you a child?
[He taps the Thompson on his leg.]
This is a machine gun. It's for spraying a large amount of targets, not precision aiming like you're doing. The cans would be piecemeal in seconds.
no subject
[And that damned revealing dress it put her in. >|]
Heh, you're in luck then. That was a nightmare. I didn't believe that it could be my son, at first. He looked more like his supposed father.
[groan] But he knew too much about me. And his skin tone was closer to mine. And...he was named after my brother.
[Another can died by her bullets.]
You haven't gotten a good look at my gun yet, have you? It's a P90 submachine gun. Even if those goddamned Snakes keep stealing my gun, there's luckily a good supply of them in the armories around here.
I'm just precision aiming because I'm more or less bored.
no subject
[He's not sure what else to say to that.]
Is that from the future? I've not heard of it. Although I don't know much about guns anyway.
[He opens a pocket and pulls out a vial, which he opens. A flick and hornets gather, which he directs at a can. They buzz over and pick it up.]
no subject
[She'd rather not expand on it anyways.]
You haven't heard of a-...right, right. 1964.
[She sighed, holding the gun out a bit.]
It's a FN P90, a Belgium-designed gun, developed back in the late eighties. But it didn't start to get widely used until the mid-nineties. It fires pretty quickly, and this thing was built to pierce through body armor.
[She watched as the hornets picked up the can.]
That's practically cheating there.
no subject
[They drop the can into one outstretched hand.]
Not really. They take more practice and upkeep than a gun, which is paid back by their usefulness inside and outside of combat. Though it helps that I like hornets and they like me, so I guess I am cheating.
[He smiles a little and sends them to put the can with the rest of Natalia's targets.]
Do they have anything like them in the future?

HI NATALIA, WHAT YOU ARE DOING?
no subject
[Oh wait, it was just Alek. Good thing she wasn't in an especially trigger-happy mood today.]
Oh, Alek. You scared me a bit.
[WHY WAS EVERYONE CHOOSING TO GO DOWN THIS HALLWAY TODAY?!]
What brings you in this part?
no subject
Oh, I am sorry, I did not mean to.
[IT MUST BE NATALIA'S ATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY]
Ah, I am not sure. I guess I accidentally make overlap patrol today. How you are doing?
no subject
[She sighed, shrugging her shoulders.]
I'm alright, I guess. [Pfft Natalia fine? Yeah right.] You?
no subject
[He admires her ability to admit her mistakes, even if he himself has trouble with that.]
I am not bad. You have eat lunch yet?
no subject
[It was a little weird to be complimented after admitting a mistake, but she still appreciated.]
No, not yet. Wanna go get something to eat?

Um... Natty, I don't think you should be shooting in the hallway.
You may hurt someone... like a kid.
no subject
Mia? Did all of the Hall Patrol decide to take this route, or what?
[She shrugged.] Not a lot of people come by here. I don't think anyone can get hurt. Unless it's the enemy and they deserve to get hurt.
What are you up to anyways?
no subject
I normally take this route...*giggle*
[Mia frowns] Well I came by here... hmm...Who counts as the enemy? Just Snake? Or is it everyone Ocelot hates for no reason?
I just wanted to let you know...that I took your advice on Vamp...I'm leaving him.
no subject
[Natalia shot an incredulous look at Mia. How could she be a soldier this long and not know who the enemy was! :O]
Of course, it's any and all Snakes well aside from the Liquid and Solidus ones, anyways. Those enemies are always causing problems for us! I can't believe you would forget that!
[...]
Speaking of people who cause problems, please tell me that at least you know that the evil Cobras are...well...evil, right?
[Since Pain and Alek seemed to be all buddy-buddy with them now. >|]
Really? [sigh] That's good. I mean, it might be hard for you, but really...it's for the best.
no subject
I always new that it was Snake. The only thing is why?
And yes, I know the evil Cobras are evil. It should be obvious after all the crap they did...
[sad sigh] Yeah...but... I think its harder for him than it was for me. Poor Vamp...he seems so...lonely
no subject
[She nodded.] Alright, good. At least you don't seem to have been brainwashed by them. If they give you any trouble, do me a favor and call me first.
[Natalia grimaced, looking at the ground.] The others don't seem to get it. It's unbelievable, really.
[Hesitantly, Natalia put an arm on Mia's shoulder.] It'll be alright. Vamp might be fine as a commander, but it's best not to get involved with people in your line of duty.
no subject
Why are you shooting at cans?
no subject
...I was bored.
