[Pain got a call from Viper fifty minutes ago telling him to show up for a fight or he'd kill Alek.]

[Forty minutes ago, Pain called his 'nephew' Ocelot for help and started a plan.]

[Twenty-five minutes ago, The Pain used Mantis to find the Sorrow and figured out the plan.]

[And now he's waiting for Sorrow to report back on the state of Viper's traps before he goes to confront him. He's going to rescue Alek, no matter what he has to do.]

[The Pain is here. The Pain is not happy.]

[The Pain is ready.]

[Yes but he's not in the mood for anymore serious discussions while he can't move. It's hard to punch people that way.]

[He stands up, looks around, and grabs a wastebasket. He sets in front of the bed and sits next to it, pulling Alek onto his lap and undoing his pants.]

[He grabs Alek carefully and aims.]

[He sighs as he relieves himself, glad to have that taken care of.]

[Well, if he doubted that Pain really liked him before, he doesn't doubt so much now.]

[He kisses Alek's neck through his mask.]

/You should probably take a bath after this. It may help with the paralysis./

[Pain doesn't know for sure, but he suspects.]

[He nods in agreement; he could probably use a bath anyway after all this.]

/But of course. Are you finished?/

[He waits patiently for Pain to move him. A hot bath sounds pretty good right about now.]

/Ok. I think this place should have a bath if we need one. The Nexus likes being useful./

[He closes his eyes and opens them again.]

/That red door was not there before, was it?/

[It's the one 90 degrees from the one they came in.]

[He shoots Pain a small smile, indicating that he's ready at any time.]

/I love how this place does that!/

[He pulls off Alek's clothing, then picks him up bridal-style and carries him into the room, where a small bathtub rests in the middle of a tile floor. He sets Alek inside it gently, the edge of the tub coming up to his shoulders, and after a quick search, turns on the water. It's warm, but not achingly hot yet.]

/How's this?/

/Okay, but it can be hotter./

[He keeps his eyes on Pain, making sure the other man never looks away. He feels embarrassed to admit it even to himself, but in his current state he's scared of slipping underwater and not being able to bring himself up.]

[Pain pulls his shirts, mask and gloves off and turns the water up hotter.]

/Tell me when it's high enough, alright?/

[He pulls over a nearby basket full of cleaning supplies and starts washing his face and hands, always keeping an eye on Alek in case he slips.]

[He waits until the water has reaches a nice, steamy temperature.]

/That is good now./

[Really good. He feels like the water must be sapping away his aches and pains, as well as the paralysis.]

/I can move my whole foot now, hot water must be cure for this!/

[He turns it off, the water rising to around Alek's belly button.]

/It's very theraputic for a lot of injuries. It can do wonders for broken bones, burns and scars as well./

[He crawls over behind Alek and runs his hands over his scalp, massaging small circles over it.]

/Would you like me to fix your hair so that it's all even? Viper did a terrible job with your haircut, and I'd like to fix it./

[He closes his eyes and smiles slightly as he feels Pain against his back, enjoying the massage.]

/You can fix it I guess, I am sure it looks horrible./

/Not bleeding injuries or dehydration, but others yes./

[He scoops up water and wets what's left of Alek's hair, then starts shampooing carefully.]

/It's very uneven. What was he trying to do, anyway?/

/No, for dehydration you must drink the bath./

[He frowns, not really all that sure.]

/He did not say, he just started cutting it. Later he seemed to be comparing me to someone else, but I do not know who./

/And if you're in hot water, it dehydrates you further./

[He frowns as well.]

/He may be as insane as Owl, although in a different way. They both seem to have an obsession with..../

[Blink. A thought occurs to him.]

/How did he compare you? Do you know what Marionette Owl looks like?/

.../Marionette who? I am not sure who that is. But if that is who he was comparing me to, then he must think he is very attractive, because he criticized me while complimenting him. Maybe they are lovers./

[He can't say he envies this Owl guy having a lover like Viper. But then again, he doesn't know Owl.]

/I wouldn't be surprised if they were. This whole thing was revenge for me killing Owl earlier--he killed Para-Medic and I was trying to stop him from doing it again. He's around your height, red hair, dainty build, chops up women to use as dolls./

[He's not just impressed by someone who throws away their life for revenge or kills people for fun. They can have each other. How does Slasher Hawk stand either of them?]

/No, not very much. He's shorter, much lighter frame, different color hair, no beard, followed by two dolls in Asian clothing./

[He rinses off Alek;s hair and combs it with his fingers, then pulls out a knife.]

/Tell me if this feels strange./

[He carefully starts trimming Alek's hair so that it is about an inch long all around, starting at the back.]

[That was one comment of Viper's that just disturbed him at the time.]

/I do not know why he had to go for my hair. It was very unnecessary./
