[She wasn't upset that she was on the no go list for the wedding. Not really. This meant lots of people on the "aren't invited" list would be out and about while the wedding was going on. And this meant getting the information she needed. Naomi sipped from a glass of wine at some random bar she had stumbled into, hoping people would show up for a drink and would be willing to talk.]
((For those not going to the wedding or whoever wants a drink.))

[So he entered the bar and sat down next to Naomi, casually reaching for a beer.]
Guess it must be weird for you too, huh?

[She sipped some more wine then looked over at him. She recognized the voice but wasn't quite sure what time period he was from.]
You already know who I am, right?
no subject
[Snake just gave her a look.] I knew who you were on Shadow Moses, Naomi.

[She looks down at her wine again.]
Calm down. There was just a 9 year gap before I saw you again. I'm just trying to gauge what year you're from.

[He took another swallow of his beer, slumping over the bar tiredly.]
What are you doing in here?
no subject
About the same as everyone else I guess. Drinking my worries away.
[She took a longer sip of wine.]

[He closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the quiet atmosphere. He wasn't really good at talking to people about feelings, especially people he couldn't trust.]
[Yet, he couldn't help but ask...] What's wrong?

[This woman looked as if she were conducting her own search for information]
I am rather new to this place and hardly know any of these people; I don't suppose you would care to fill me in?

[He makes a broad gesture with one hand]
And who are the rest of these people, to my Liquid Snake?
no subject
I'm afraid you're asking the wrong person, sir. I don't know anything about a Liquid Snake.

[She greeted the man. He did look somewhat familiar...]

[He gave her a curt nod.]

[This man did awfully look like Sunny and her mother.]
no subject
[He looked away.]
Why do you ask?
[Foreigners... how annoying.]

[He wheeled up towards the bar curiously, quietly smoking on a cigarette as he contemplated his drink for the evening.]

[She looked over at him, wondering who this was.]
no subject
Uh... No. No, I'm not.
[Wow, what a babe...]
[He moves across the carpet in his chair and extends his hand.] Huey. I'm his father. Apparently.
no subject
Naomi.
Oh really? Its nice to meet you.
[Well, now she knew where he got his good looks from.]

[Huey smiled at her. He hadn't heard anything about her from his son so it begged the question;] So how do you know Hal?
no subject
[She couldn't tell him she slept with his son!]
We're... friends.
