[Of all the things Liquid might have expected, this was not one of them.

He had walked into a room earlier almost without thinking, mistaking it for one he regularly visited. Realising his mistake he had, of course, swiftly left as fast as a man could leave without giving signs of fear. But as the day passed and little happened to harm him, he grew steadily more relaxed. That was, at least, until the electricity coursing through him began to manifest. A brief spark of annoyance, an unconscious exertion and shattered glass from the exploding corridor lights adorned the floor like snow, leaving a stretch of hall in total darkness. Liquid stared down at his hand as sparks crackled over it.

...that was actually both painful and entertaining.]

...the hell?

[Surely that was new.]

(ooc: So yeah, thanks to chat, Liquid now has lightning powers! ...for three days, at least.)

[Except, likely to Ocelot's surprise, it's not Volgin that strolls into sight. Rather, it's Liquid, his hair slightly singed from electricity as he clutches one crackling hand to his chest.]

[His frown turns into a worried scowl.]

Liquid-- did the colonel attack you?!

Stay back. [This had to be his Ocelot if he was worried. He let his voice soften a little, despite knowing his words wouldn't help.]

Nobody's attacked me. [Not that the lack of explaination for this would make it easier. Electricity crackles over his entire body and he bears it unflinchingly, feeling increasingly on edge.]

[He takes a couple steps closer anyway.]

...What happened?

I'm not sure! I was in the hall and then it simply began out of nowhere. Careful.

[The more concerned he gets, the more the electricity rages over him.]

[Door, meet foot. Liquid just disappears in there for a moment. Then there is the sound of an animal screeching and electricity sparking before he stumbles back out.]

How much of this can my body hold? There seems to be a lot of it.

A little. But for the most part, it just feels strange. Prickling under my skin. I think... I think I might be generating it somehow.

[He moves a little closer.]

Now my namesake is dangerous. This is odd.

[He hesitates before holding his hand out to Ocelot, sparks jumping from his gloved fingers to strike the other man's skin.]

I suppose this counts as a superpower.

[He clasps Liquid's hand, holding tight, gritting his teeth against the shocks.]

Careful-! [Liquid focuses, trying to keep control of it, although it's not easy.]

Ngh... [He nearly falls to his knees before catching himself, but squeezes Liquid's hand tighter instead of letting go.]

[He's tempted to tug his hand back, but the way Ocelot is holding onto it stills him.]

Adam. Can you handle it?

[He lets go, gasping.]

Ghh... you really can't drain it off?

[He flexes his hands, trying to work the pain out of the muscle.]

[A moment later, the third member of the blond trio comes jogging over. His breathing is a bit heavy and it's clear he's been running for a while. Kaz greets them cheerfully, albeit a bit breathless.]

Hey, how's it going?

[From the crackling of electricity over Liquid's frame, not so normally. He looks back and forth between them.]

I can't. Volgin said I should learn to control it rather than venting it.

Kazuhira, know any tips for controlling electricity?

Damn effects. [Ocelot curls his shaking hands into fists, glancing briefly at Kaz before looking over Liquid's body.]

[In disbelief of what he's hearing, he tilts his aviators down his nose and sees with his own eyes the sparks traveling over Liquid's body. Well, that certainly wasn't something you see everyday.]

... Rubber?

[He still seems rather in shock.]

Electricity.

[He starts to reach out to Ocelot's shoulder, then draws his hand back, remembering.]

It's exceedingly hard to hold back. But rubber sounds good. If I have to wear a shirt or something ridiculous like that I will punch something.

I need to get rid of anything conductive I have on me.

...and my ammunition, before it explodes.

Don't touch it, I'll get it. [He moves behind Liquid, picking his tools from his body, wincing when sparks bite at his hands.]

What kind of voltage are we talking about here?

[He sees Ocelot wince and assumes the amount isn't lethal. But even so, numerous problems could come from this.]
