// Electric, it's a natural hiiiigh~
[Of all the things Liquid might have expected, this was not one of them.
He had walked into a room earlier almost without thinking, mistaking it for one he regularly visited. Realising his mistake he had, of course, swiftly left as fast as a man could leave without giving signs of fear. But as the day passed and little happened to harm him, he grew steadily more relaxed. That was, at least, until the electricity coursing through him began to manifest. A brief spark of annoyance, an unconscious exertion and shattered glass from the exploding corridor lights adorned the floor like snow, leaving a stretch of hall in total darkness. Liquid stared down at his hand as sparks crackled over it.
...that was actually both painful and entertaining.]
...the hell?
[Surely that was new.]
(ooc: So yeah, thanks to chat, Liquid now has lightning powers! ...for three days, at least.)

[He starts to reach out to Ocelot's shoulder, then draws his hand back, remembering.]
It's exceedingly hard to hold back. But rubber sounds good. If I have to wear a shirt or something ridiculous like that I will punch something.
I need to get rid of anything conductive I have on me.
...and my ammunition, before it explodes.

[He sees Ocelot wince and assumes the amount isn't lethal. But even so, numerous problems could come from this.]
It doesn't hurt you, does it, Liquid?
no subject
[His voice is both disturbed and fascinated.]
It's painful. More so if I reliquish control of it even a little. I'm holding it back.

[He sets a hand on his hip, trying to think of a solution that might be better than gloves. But what? It also occurs to him that he probably won't be able to touch Liquid again until this passes... and that's a real shame.]
no subject
[He glances over at Kaz.] Probably no less than three days.

[Kaz stays with Liquid to offer him some sort of moral support, but he's pretty stuck on how to fix this situation.]
You sure you can't pass the electricity onto something else?
no subject
[Liquid glances over at Kaz, frowning slightly. It's almost dizzying, this energy.]
I tried. It generates more if I do. But don't worry about me. I can handle it.
no subject
[Ocelot appears again, holding several pairs of yellow rubber gloves. He tosses a pair to Liquid.]
I know you'll be fine. You've dealt with worse.
no subject
[He's more worried about Liquid than the sheets but he can't help wondering: where will Liquid sleep? Will they really have to keep their hands off one another?]
[If so, Kaz might just stay at his place and take special care of Pooyan...]
no subject
[Liquid shakes his head, tugging off his own gloves and replacing them with the rubber ones. They help a little with the pressure on his hands at least.]
I'll just go without sleep for a few days. Adam, think you can find me some rubber blankets or something like that?
no subject
[With obvious reluctance, he pulls his red gloves off and tucks them away in his jacket, before putting yellow gloves on himself.]
no subject
[As he talks, Kaz takes a pair of rubber gloves for himself and slips them on.]
no subject
[The gloves are uncomfortable and far thinner than his own - not to mention looking ridiculous. But they'll do.]
no subject
Forget it. We don't need you going crazy. I can still put my hands on you like this.
no subject
[His hand cautiously reaches out and strokes Liquid's side, and at the faint sight of his ribs, Kaz remembers something else that's important...]
Hold on, what about food? Does it shock anything you eat as well?
no subject
[And hands might not be enough to restrain his nightmares. Liquid relaxes slowly, their touches easing him a little. At least he won't hurt them too much like this.]
I don't know. I haven't tried eating.
no subject
My hands are enough. Or we'll improvise.
no subject
[When he hears the admission that Liquid hasn't eaten yet today, Kaz frowns.]
I should have known something was off when you didn't stay for breakfast...
no subject
I didn't feel like eating. And then this started.
no subject
If the electricity is being generated inside you, then I'm sure it's using up your energy... at the very least, you're going to need energy to control it. You're not going to skip anymore meals before it goes away.
no subject
But if the electric current is also inside your body, it's going to zap anything you eat. Too bad it's not just on your skin, or we could bypass it by hand-feeding you...
[He clears his throat, gaze focused on the floor.]
We'll have to think of something that would respond positively to electric shock. ... Perhaps meat would do it?
no subject
[That's almost offensive, to assume LIQUID SNAKE! could run out of energy. But he nods, regardless, and shoots Kaz a suspicious look.]
I'll give it a try, anyway.
