[Liquid steps into a room and is deafened by screams.]

[Pyrotechnics launch to either side. 80s arena rock blares, competing with the shouts of the fans that fill the stadium.]

[The announcer's voice booms through the speakers as Liquid strides down the isle in tights painted with flames. He revels in the shouts like a born showman.]

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! GET READY FOR

Theeeee Anglo Adonis, the Liverpool Lothario, the Tea-Sipping Terror! The pile of might from the Isle of Wight! Manchester's premier manchest!

[He vaults into the ring with a flip, landing perfectly with arms upraised, drinking in the hatred like the light of the sun]

LIQUIIIIIIID SNAAAAAAAAKE!

[Liquid grabs a microphone from a ref and shoves him away.]

[He paces the ring, scowling and sneering]

I see the scum of the world is out in force tonight!

[He is rewarded with a chorus of boo and shouts of outrage.]

How kind of you to crawl out of your gutters to pay tribute to your superior!

[His accent is exaggerated, because British people are terrible and you hate them so much.]

[He gives a dramatic toss to his luxurious mane of hair.]

Surely that must be why you're here.

[Then sweeps out his arms and shouts]

I DON'T SEE ANY MEN HERE TO GIVE ME A FIGHT!

[BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!]

[Liquid waits for it to die down to the perfect hush, in order to wring the maximum drama from the moment.]

Is that all? Is it too much to hope that these pathetic colonies provide one challenger!?

((It is time to throw your hat to the mat and wrestle down. There's room for all varieties of heroes and scumbags; wrestlers, managers, commentators, the buxom ladies in spandex who hang around to no immediate purpose. The only law is terrible, terrible nicknames.))

[His voice drops and loses its operatic flair]

[He gestures at the crowd that fills the stadium]

They're all here to see him and hate me.

...that's kind of unfair, don't you think?

It's quite fun, really. It's so easy to play a crowd that wants to despise you.

Doesn't it bother you?

[Liquid laughs confidentially] Of course not. All heroes are the same. A good villain, now, that is a work of art.

...well, if you're sure.

[A pause.]

I'd still like you even if no one else did, though.

[Liquid's smile deepens and becomes genuine.] You'd be my fan?

Something like that, yes.

[chuckles] You're not supposed to cheer for the heel, you know.

You can if you love them. Special exception.

[and this is a soldier and all-around arrogant bastard absolutely melting]

Have I mentioned how wonderful you are?

I wouldn't mind if you said it again.

[His voice is pitched far below the level the crowd can hear, for Hal alone.]

You are wonderful and I adore you.

[Otacon blushed faintly, leaning forward and giving Liquid a light kiss on the cheek.]

I love you.

[The crowd is uncomfortable and confused in their feelings! They came here to see two half-naked oiled men grunt and grapple, not anything gay!]

[well that just sucks for them. When Liquid Snake is involved, you're pretty much confirmed for gay.]

You want to get out of here and find something more fun to do?

[Yep. Like the splash zone at Seaworld. People in these seats may get turned gay.]

An excellent idea.

[He straightens up and offers his arm.]

[Splashed as far up as every single row of seats. :|b]

Okay.

[Otacon took his arm with a pleased smile.]

[all zones are the gay zone.]

[and Liquid walks out with Otacon on his arm, leaving behind a near riot and a stadium full of fans struggling with awkward feelings]

[Indeed.]

That was a...weird room. I'll have to remember that one.

[The quiet and plain white halls are stunning after the light and noise of the stadium]

[As soon as they're out, Liquid sweeps Otacon in his arms and dips him into a passionate kiss.]

[He still has the tights.]

Weird indeed.

Rather fun though.

Mmph--?!

Ah...y-yeah... [Otacon turned a light shade of red, stumbling over his words for a moment.]

Sh-should we, uh....get you some different clothes? Even you look ridiculous in something like that.

[Liquid's arm stays around him. It happens to be comfortable there.]

[He looks down at his shiny tights] I thought the effect was rather striking.
