Do you know what day it is?
[April 30th, the day she was assigned to "accidentally" run into the man Jack Brannigan. She checked herself in the mirror, making sure she looked like the blonde-haired, blue-eyed bombshell that Jack's psyche report said he liked in a woman. She knew it was her expertise in information analysis and psychology that earned her this job, but she wasn't naive enough not to know that it was partly given to her because she was an attractive female. Couldn't exactly do what she's trying to do if she was a man.]
[Smoothing out her modest-but-still-sexy dress, she nodded, satisfied. It was time to do her job. The word "spy" didn't sit well for her, she was just another woman trying to make a career for herself.]
[However, when she stepped off of the elevator in her apartment complex, intending to head to Federal Hall where she knew the dark haired Jack would be at about this time, she blinked in surprised as she suddenly wasn't standing on the very familiar lobby, but rather a long, white hallway.]
...Did I hit the wrong floor?
[She turned around but... the elevator was nowhere to be seen.]
[((Concept!PreMGS2 Rose, information is in her bio if you're interested. Protip: she's not much different from normal preMGS2 Rose, except for appearances.))]

It's not a compulsion, it's not genetics! You fight because you want to, or because circumstances require it, saying it's because you have no choice is just an excuse.
[On second thought, it's probably not a good idea to antagonize the crazy megalomaniac, but Rose had a bad habit of snapping back.]

[He's winding down now, calming a little. This woman knows nothing about him. False assumptions. The part of him that had been ready to strike out despite her weakness coils back inside of him to wait for a new target.]

[She bit back any other snippy responses. She saw that he had been about to lash out at her, and her sense of self preservation wasn't entirely missing.]

This worthless place...
[Still, there was that other version of brother to find. The one that had killed the other Liquid, the strange one. He had, after all, agreed to kill him in place of the older one. Slowly, the lost look fades.]

I'm sorry...

[Seriously, what was this guy's problem. :T]

[He stands up, looking angry.]
I don't want or need your bloody sympathy, alright? All I want is to find a way out of here so I can get back to trying to kill my brother and get what we demanded.
no subject
And I'm in no mood for someone to be telling me how to feel or what to say!
[She glared right back at him, taking a couple deep breaths to calm down, then turns, intending on leaving.]
...I would say thank you for showing me around a little, but I assume you don't want or need my gratitude either. I hope you find whatever will make you happy in this place.

[Since she didn't drink her tea, he'll be yoinking that, kthx?]
And you're welcome.
[Siiiiip.]
Just watch out. There's a crazy version of brother running around. He killed one of my alternates. If you see him, let me know. I'm going to kill him.

[She didn't really know what she was planning on doing either. She guessed the first step would be to look around, or find somewhere to live.]
...Should I call you on codec or something if I see him?
[Luckily, working for the military introduced Rose to Codec, even though she was a civilian.]

[He sounds amused, his voice holding a teasing note. Looking around, he spots some paper and a pen and takes it, writing down his number and handing it to her.]
The rooms here are free, so just find an empty one- and don't tell anyone where it is.
no subject
[She nods, taking the paper, then in turn, writing hers and holding it out for him.]
Not that you'll probably want to call me ever, but just in case.
no subject
[He accepts the number, most likely surprising her.]
You never know. Even civilians can be useful and I may need to warn you if this goes badly.
[He sounds more like he's justifying it to himself. In truth he doesn't know why he accepts her number.]
no subject
One of the Liquids? And you said he killed one of your alternates. Does that mean there's multiple versions of the same person here?
no subject
[She's a big girl, but he doesn't want a civilian losing it over a corpse.]
no subject
Alright, I'll be sure to avoid it.
[She gave a little smile and a friendly wave.]
Thanks again for the help, Liquid.
no subject
My pleasure, Rose. It was nice to meet you.
[He's in a lighter mood now, having vented his anger a little on a helpless teacup.]
