[Remember this Hal had been looking for a new place to live? He's been dedicating some time to it in between the hours spent unknowingly designing a weapon of mass destruction studying.]

[It took a while -and he had been quite busy in the library the last weeks anyway- but he finally found a suitable apartment. It's in the second floor, and quite spacious. Four bedrooms, so E.E. and the little Hal can have their own... and David too, if he wants to.]

[Now all he has to do is show it to them, so he can ask for their opinion.]

His name is David. H-he's fourteen, I think. He didn't have a home, so I invited him.

The walls there are white... i-it would be kinda boring to leave them that way, right?

[Hal scrunched up his face a little, thinking. Letting a kid choose the color of paint on his walls was almost like Final Jeopardy.]

D-do I have to pick now?

[He laughs a bit.] Nah, it's okay. Y-you don't have to pick right now.

It would be good to paint it b-before we move in, though. Uhm. That way the paint will be dry by then.

[He wraps his arms around Hal's neck, clinging onto his back.]

[Hal used to do this for his little E.E. back home, and quite likes it. He arranges Hal so he's comfortable on his back and stands up.]

[The kid is a bit heavier than he's used to, but it's alright.] H-here we go!

[And he starts running.]

[He clings on tightly, probably a little too tightly around the neck.]

[It's not like he's strangling him, but he instructs little Hal to arrange his hands better.] T-try clinging around my shoulders instead.

[He can't run for too long without getting tired, so he slows down but he doesn't stop.]

[Hal rearranges his arms. His legs bounced as he rode on Hal's back.]

[When Hal slowed down he smiled and nuzzled his face into Hal's shoulder, and looking down, he wasn't used to being up so high!]

[Yay, it looks like you like it! Hal laughs a bit, taking a few seconds to rest and catch his breath, and tries running again.]

[Nearing the apartment now.]

[Hal stops in front of a door and kneels down to let you get down.] H-here we are.

[He lets go of the other Hal as he kneels down, back firmly on the ground. He looks up at the big door.] I-Is this where we live?

[Hal runs inside, looking around the new apartment with wide eyes.]

[Hal looks into the kitchen, and runs into one of the rooms, his voice drifting out.]

[He enters, then, and follows little Hal.] Pick a room!

[Hal looks around the room he's in, and then runs to the next one, giving it the same once-over.]

W-which room is yours?

[Hal goes from one room to the other, looking at each of them. Finally he stops in the room across the hall from the other Hal's room. It had boring light blue walls, and a plush white carpet.]

Awesome! [He enters the room, smiling, and makes a mental note of covering the carpet with some paper before painting in there.] G-good choice.

[Hal laid down flat on the empty floor, spreading his arms out as if he was making a snow angel.]
