[Remember this Hal had been looking for a new place to live? He's been dedicating some time to it in between the hours spent unknowingly designing a weapon of mass destruction studying.]

[It took a while -and he had been quite busy in the library the last weeks anyway- but he finally found a suitable apartment. It's in the second floor, and quite spacious. Four bedrooms, so E.E. and the little Hal can have their own... and David too, if he wants to.]

[Now all he has to do is show it to them, so he can ask for their opinion.]

I-I see. [The idea of David playing in a sandbox is severely cute.] E.E. and I, we kind of decided t-to adopt him.

[Hal is not really used to physical contact. The kissing room, while not unpleasant, had been a bit awkward. Specially considering his conversation with E.E. there.]

[David tilted his head, and then smiled.] Really? Heh. Must be weird raising yourself.

[And then he smiled casually.] Oh yeah? If you and your sister and little Hal are together, you'll need the space.

Quite weird. And, uhm, I certainly don't remember being that cute as a child. [He laughs a bit.] B-but, it's kind of nice. I like having a little sibling again.

[He mulls over your words for a moment, wondering if they mean you don't want to live with him anymore. Insecure now:] Uhm. Uhm. I... T-the apartment. Uhm. I-it has room for you, too, y'know. If you still want.

Yeah. There was no one else around. I felt obliged to be there with him.

Huh? You're kinda cute now. You haven't changed too much. [He grinned.]

Hmm? Oh... You still want me to move in?

[He tries not to look too hopeful, but his eyes brighten and his back straightened.]

[To your question, he just nods, smiling. He doesn't look at you, still unsure of your answer.] I-I do. And you?

[He can see that blush and it just continues to make him smile.] Yeah. You're older than me, but I'm starting to think I'll be taller than you soon.

[David keeps straightened.] Yeah. I'd like that. I'd like that a lot.

I bet. Y-you look like you would. [He pushes his glasses, smiling. It's not like he loves it, but he has already come to terms he wouldn't be much taller than he is already.]

[Almost jumping on his spot.] I-I'm so glad! Come with me, I've got to show it to you!

[Hal wasn't too small, just a few inches taller than himself. Probably the same height as Null. It didn't bother David either.]

[He shifts foot, not used to people being... excited about being in his company. It made his chest and stomach warm expectantly.]

Right. Lead the way. [He grinned.]

[He makes a movement to take your hand, and then decides against it. He's still not very used to what is adequate and what is not in matters of physical contact. But he feels really happy right now:] This way!

[David grinned a little, walking with Hal. He noticed that hesitation of Hal's hand, wondering what he was going to do.]

[Instead, he rests his hand on Hal's shoulder, waiting for him to direct him to the apartment.]

[David's hand on his shoulder comforts him. That is okay then, right? He claps a hand on David's shoulder too, and starts guiding them towards the apartment:] I-it's not far from here.

[He secured his grasp around Hal's shoulders, walking casually with his friend without another care in the world.]

W-well, there's no point in having a bedroom without a bed, y'know. And there's no way s-sleeping in a box all the time is healthy.
