[ever since the Realignment Room, this Otacon's been hiding away in his room. He has a project he's working on, but it's obvious that's more an excuse than a reason. Idly tapping on a keyboard with one hand, the other is holding up his head while a small piece of hardware is hooked into his computer. Every once and a while, a sample voice clip comes from the little box by his elbow. But it makes him frown, trying to tweak the clip to sound more realistic. Unconsciously, he adds a bit of coding that shifts the tone and cadence to something more feminine. He shifts his hand so his fingers fall across his lips, not even noticing their state as he nibbles a little further on his index finger, reopening the wounds he had made and absently lapping at them]

[smiles a little, starting down to the kitchen] What kind do you want?

Doesn't matter.

Same as me, then. [finds a kitchen that's STILL A KITCHEN and putters around a bit]

[crosses his arms, leaning on a wall] ...

[finally gets everything cooking for the three minutes and looks over at him] So. Three minutes until the food's done.

So what'll we do until then?

Got any ideas?

[Smiiiiiiirk.]

... James, let's not burn anymore food.

Oh, fine.

... [gives him a little kiss]

...[smiles slightly]

Sorry about being so caught up in coding.

I just hope you realize I demand a certain amount of attention.

I noticed. You're like a cat. Attention... how and when you want it.

Hm. Not my preferred animal metaphor, but I suppose it's not completely inaccurate.

What do you prefer? [kisses him again]

I'm not much for cats. Makes me think of Ocelot. [kisses his neck lightly, smirks] My preference for serpents should be quite obvious, don't you think?
