[TRUTH ROOM] and I wanna hear what you have to say about me

[The Oldacon's found a room where one of the kitchens used to be. It's not remarkable in any way other than it's irritating non-kitchenness. There are some comfy chairs, a nice plush carpet, some reddish mood lighting-

-and a door that won't open again.]

Oh, you... come on. [He fights with the door momentarily, getting nowhere at break-neck speeds. He sighs and moves to sit in a chair, looking somberly around. He has no idea what the room wants, but it's not letting him go just yet.]

((OOC: This is a room that forces people to say truths they normally wouldn't divulge. You can only get out after saying one of these truths aloud for someone else to hear. The effects could last for as long or as short a time as you wish. Feel free to either bother Hal or just wander in alone or wotever.))

Not as good.

[And maybe he's a bit glad for this room... normally he wouldn't be able to say that. And now it's making him come to some realizations of his own- he's giving into Fear's advances much more easily because he hasn't been so happy with Claude in awhile. His lover's emotions have lately fell somewhat flat- no real anger or joy.]

I never have been in relationship last so long... maybe this just happens.

It happened with my wife after eight years. The unit was pulled apart before it could happen.

[Pain has felt...flat...since he got back from his last kidnapping. He doesn't know if it's the depression he had in August come back with a vengeance, or...]

We should have another talk with him. I want, [and he breathes in deeply because he's not sure where this is coming from] I want you to be happy. I don't want you sleeping with him if he's going to use it as an excuse to insult me after he took you away before.

You're the only person I have left in the Nexus. Everyone else is gone. I don't want to lose you. I want to know that if you're going to be with him, you'll still love me too.

[He's so dependant, isn't he? Pain hadn't realized how lonely he'd gotten with everyone leaving; Alek's practically the only person he has left.]

[He'd... let him sleep with Fear if he still loved Pain? He's not sure how he feels about how dependent Pain seems to have become to him. He remembers the times when Pain thought sleeping with several people at the same time was normal- When Alek'd be the one complaining about it. But Alek had never suspected he'd been one for the domestic routine. He enjoyed dating, but thoughts like "forever" and "marriage" he's never taken seriously.]

Then yes, we should have other talk. I will try put some sense into him. I do not like him talk like that at you.

[Pain wasn't either, just--he's been losing touch with everyone here. And it didn't help that when he slept with Evil Alek recently, Alek threw a gasket.]

Can you plan that? I don't think he respects me enough to do it. And...

[He covered his eyes because he's so....ashamed, maybe?]

I hadn't realized I'd gotten so dependant on you, canon.

[That's because no one likes Evil Alek.]

I can plan it. He will have no choice.

[Alek sighs, tugging Pain's hand away from his face and pulling him into another comforting hug. He doesn't want Claude to think he has anything to be sorry about.]

Maybe you just need get out more. It will be good for you.

I hope so. Everyone else has left or hasn't been out for a long time.

[He hugs Alek back tightly. He does feel bad about it--how had he let himself get this lonely again? It had gone badly in the real world: Fear had to drag him back into duty and smack some sense into him and even then it had taken him a month to get back to what passed for normal then. He'd said he wouldn't let it happen again.]

I'll follow your lead. Even if things go bad, I'll still be your subordinate.

[That... means a lot to Alek. No, more than a lot. His job is the anchor in his life, something he sticks to no matter how bad other things go. And to hear Claude say he'd stick with that too... incredible.]

Thank you, Claude. There can be no better second in command than you are.

[When Boss offered him a job with the Cobras, she was gave him a family. He won't take that away from himself or from Alek.]

You're welcome, Alek. You...

[As much as he loves Alek, Boss was more competant than him and he's known her longer. No one can top the Boss; they can only tie her.]

...are tied for first place for best commander.

...Huh?

[Oh, right, truth room. Alek knows he isn't the best commander, so even hearing something like that is a big compliment.

With a smile, Alek pulls himself up to give Pain a kiss.]

Now where are my almost #1 commander mug?

We can check the rooms for one. Or I can make one.

[He kisses back through the mask, eyes closing. He's going to make himself go and get back into life. Somehow.]

It'll turn out good in the end, right?

If I had, I would use for all coffees.

[He wants to say yes to Pain's question... but he knows the room won't let him. Saying yes wouldn't be telling the truth, it would be saying a wish.]

I hope. It is not easy, but we try.

[He gives him another kiss through the mask, feeling like the two of them are connecting for the first time in awhile.]

I can make you some coffee. Should we go do that now~?

[He runs his hands down Alek's body. Hopefully things will go better than before.]

I won't stop trying if you won't.

I could use coffee now.

[He gives a firm nod. Even if he's messing things up badly, he won't give up on trying to make things right.]

I will not stop try. Even if Natalia do not think so, I do care for you very much.

Let's go find some!

[He's perking up now that he's feeling more confident about him and Alek.]

I love you too. No matter what others think.

[He hugs Alek again.]
