[He did a bad thing today. It's rather sobering but he did it...and it was easy. It felt good, but at the same time so horrible.

BUT

He knows the old man will regenerate with a more focused anger than before, and frankly, Snake isn't ready to take the brunt of that.]

Sshhhhit.

[Snake wanders back to the bar, sits down, and hangs his head, thinking, trying to figure out what to do for when the old man returns. He could use some help but he's got no one. He's not surprised by this, or even all that saddened. He knows he did it to himself and he's not surprised that he finds himself alone again.]

[A little more firmly.] Dave, look at me.

[He thinks he knows what's eating Snake up.] This doesn't mean you're a bad person. Everyone has their breaking point.

[He does wonder what it is about Big Boss that makes Snake snap, since Big Boss didn't seem so bad when Hal met him. But he's not here to judge Snake, just to comfort him.]

[He can't. If he could look at him he would, but he just can't. Not right now.]

[He doesn't utter a single word other than a chocked up grunt. As much as he hates his Father, he still loves him simply becuase he is his Father. It was only after he killed him, again, did the pain and regret return to his psyche.]
