[The neck snapped easily beneath his fingers... almost too easily. With a sneer of disgust, Snake tossed the dead soldier's body aside as he continued on his way through the jungle. Where were the real challenges? At this rate, he'd be able to obtain Volgin's legacy in no time. He'd also like to take that pathetic scientist Sokolov along with him to help construct some weapons for him when the mission was over.
Boss had briefed him on the details of the legacy, and why they must have it to control the world. EVA was acting as a spy to help him, but... he was unsure of who to trust. For now, he'll maintain a healthy suspicion of his allies while destroying any enemies who dare cross his path. He had to be careful though lest his support team suspect his true motives.]
[Snake is so absorbed in his thoughts that it takes him a few seconds to realize that he's no longer in the jungle, but inside a strange building.]
...Huh?

[He eyes her suspiciously, wondering if there was anything she was holding back.]
I need to be briefed about this building. Can you do that for me?
[Though he'd prefer almost anyone else for the job. Hopefully she can make like the term and actually be brief for once.]

It's called a Nexus. I personally think it's in another dimension, but... there's no way to tell. There's multiple version of people here, some even different versions. Not the mention the weird rooms here that turn you into the opposite sex, or cause you to have cat ear, or force you to do things you would never thought you would do in your lifetime.

[Luckily for her, he still thinks he needs to keep up an act. Otherwise, she'd be pretty high on his list of 'things that need to be neutralized'.]

[If she couldn't bare seeing Ivanya's dead body from Evil Boss killings, she doesn't know what she would do if she saw John's dead body.]

Thanks for the warning. I'm guessing you've seen first hand what they can do?
[Details. Bloody details, if possible.]

[But she makes no move to tell how how or why.]

[He doesn't want the issue to drop that quickly.]

[There's no strain in her voice, it's soft, but indifferent.]

[That was good for him, but not for his enemies. If you betray someone and kill them, you don't exactly expect them to come back to life and spread the word. Looks like he'll really have to be careful.]
Interesting. And where do we sleep in a place like this?

There's normal rooms here. You just have to watch out where you're going. You don't want to walk in a room that turns you into some animal or something. Normally, the rooms that look like bedrooms and apartments are those, but you can never ben too sure sometimes.

[She trusts him, so he'd be willing to sleep in a room she pointed out until he got his bearings around here or found Boss.]

[It'd be nice to eat some real food... snakes weren't bad, but they also weren't his first pick of the menu.]

We'll find you a worthy room, then. The kitchen on this floor isn't that far away, so we'll check this floor first.

...there better not be any vampires here.]

The kitchen is up ahead. [She points a thin, elongated finger toward the kitchen down the hall.] I'm sure there are some free rooms around here. It wouldn't surprise me if there we other versions of you living in the rooms next to or across from you.
[She looks over her shoulder at him with a playful smile.]

Right. Thanks.
[His face doesn't reflect any sort of pleasure or gratefulness though. Sometimes it's hard to keep up an act when you're so damn frustrated.]
