[A Liquid Ocelot appears on the rooftops. He is staring out across the railings, eyes scoping down to the Nexus below. His entire surroundings have changed from his last whereabouts, and confusion stiffles onto his face.]
[Naturally, he remains calm, but his eyes sharpen beneath his sunglasses propped against the bridge of his nose. He stares down at his walkie-talkie, firmly in his grasp, listening to the static motion on the other side. It was clear he was out of range.]
This is not the Middle East.

... Big Boss.
no subject
One of them.
And you are both Liquid and Ocelot. From before you fought Snake for the final time.
no subject
What do you mean by 'one of them'? Is this some sort of sick joke?
You-- [Almost accusingly pointing.] --should not be here yet.

[He shifts weight like he might step closer but remains where he is.] FOXDIE kills you, EVA and me. In the end.
I had some eight hours of life. Enough time to find Zero and put an end to it.

[He casts his eyes away.] So it has already happened.
[Ocelot strides towards the railings. He leans his crossed arms against them, feeling the cool wind skim across his aged face.]

[Cautiously he takes a few steps closer. He rests one of his hands on the rail.]
After I died, I awoke here. This place... isn't the afterlife. For all I know, I've been locked back inside the system -- and you are just another figment of my imagination.

The system...
Heh. I beg to differ. One cannot recreate perfection.
[He turned on his heel to face Big Boss, extending his arms to show his boasting.]
no subject
That doesn't stop men from trying.
no subject
Perfection isn't meant to be recreated, John. You of all people should know that.
no subject
I was never perfect, Adam. [he brings a hand up to tap his eye-patch] You should know that.

That mission was a success, wasn't it? Besides...
[He strides up to Big Boss, reaching up to touch his wrist and plies it from the eyepatch.] This occured through my own imperfections.
no subject
[He'll concede that point for now.]
[He glances to his wrist then back to him with a raised brow.]
Admitting to your own imperfections?
no subject
Back then, yes. I was a fool.
no subject
Hm. What makes you think you've changed?
[...wants to tell him he's 'pretty good' so bad. SO BAD.]
no subject
[He pokes him on the chest.] You have, my friend. It's only natural that I followed in that same streak. I'd like to think I'm not as boistrous as my youthful self.
[Even thought he knew he was. His cockiness had only grown, but with reason.]
no subject
[He cracks a small smirk] But... you are still same little punk-kid I remember. Wouldn't be you without it.
no subject
[Ocelot raises a brow at that.] Punk-kid? Hah! What do you know? I am far greater that being the 'same punk-kid'.
[He gestured lightly.] And I am far from little.
no subject
I'm sure you'll prove me wrong then, hm?
