Calling All Creepy Crazies
[Viper has called a meeting. He's radioed Hawk, migrated with Owl to the seventh floor, and is pacing thoughtfully in a broad room made of cement. It's sparse contents are metallic and dull, with fluorescent lights swinging above them.]
We'll use this floor as a base. Hawk said there were facilities on every floor and an innumerable amount of rooms. Do you know where any of the armories are located?
[He pauses in his pacing and faces Owl.]
Where are you sleeping?

[He pauses in his pacing and faces Owl.]
Where are you sleeping?
no subject
I've never took the time out to look for armories.
[His full attention is on the Osan not Viper. The nail marks still visible along his cheek, thanks to a certain pacing man.]
A floor up, why?~
no subject
My apologies for keeping you two waiting.
no subject
Not a problem. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to where some key areas are?
no subject
1/2
Don't worry, you wont get hurt again.~
[Hawk probably knew this place better than he did anyway.]
no subject
I trust you.
[:D]
no subject
Owl! Pay attention.
[He tugs over some blueprint supplies from across the table and lays out a fragmented map of the floor, showing only the hall, stairwell, and a hell of a lot of blank space. A small stack of opened boxes sits in the corner, revealing the source of the supplies.]
I want you both to mark all the rooms you know of, especially the kitchen, bathrooms, and medical bay. Where's the nearest armory?
no subject
I believe that there was an armory on the tenth floor, but I did not look too far into it, as I only use my wilgis in battle.
no subject
I haven't been through all the floors to say where everything is..
[But he marks a few things Hawk missed, such as the truth room and the doll room... He remembers that room. He almost wanted to ask where he got the map, but he just kept his mouth shut.]
no subject
One would be better off not entering those rooms.
no subject
Right then. Owl? You're moving down here. I'll find a room and we'll do some exploring in the next week or so. I don't want to get caught unprepared if any of the Snakes decide to get revenge.
no subject
[Which was true the last time he talked to a snake. Moving back to Osan he picks her up.]
Whatever you say.~
no subject
[He grits his teeth and looks away, twirling a pen between his fingers with a frustrated growl.]
no subject
Is there anything else you need from me, Viper?
As if on cue...
[The echoed comments faded from their tone to Alice's own, as the lumination of her abilities ceased in use.]
Gentlemen... life, death, and rebirth is trivial here in this nexus. "The Snakes" as you called them don't need to fear you because you have not presented any viable method or situation to instill that emotion upon them.
[Looks to Owl, recalling their previous meeting and the subject of death. Then to the supposed leader, Viper... and finally the tall man who recently retorted.]
What you need are my talents... and the will to defend yourselves by making Solid Snake realize his fateful, dreadful purpose: endless battle. If he faces that fear and fails to defeat it, then your revenge for your lost lives will have succeeded.
no subject
So you understand what goes on here? This reinvention of basic laws of the universe.
[He regards her carefully. Youth is no definite synonym for innocence.]
Say we work with you. What happens then? What is it that you do exactly? What would you need from us?
no subject
My name is Alice... and admittedly, even in the many months I have spent here, the machinations of this realm perplex me. Whether it is for amusement of a superior being, cosmic anomaly, or just the work of mere infrastructure simulation... the answers are shrouded and those who have come close to answering have succumb to the nexus' pleasures and pain.
[Her eyes lowered off and away. A silhouette of fuchsia barely glowed upon the doll. Alice was scanning them and applying her powers subtly.]
no subject
But if you have this power, why aid us instead of doing it yourself? What do you benefit from an alliance?
no subject
... after we succeed in this plan, I will make sure to tell you, . So, please consider that as added incentive to our arrangement.
Until we meet again.
[Left behind upon the aforementioned guide map the Black Chamber leader had spread, was a small burn-in of Alice's codec number. Whether or not they trusted the deal enough to request her assistance from this point on was their choice.]
no subject
Ultimately, it was not up to Slasher though.]
Do we trust her, Viper?
no subject
Hawk took the words right out of his mouth.]
no subject
But we work with her.
[If she is even partially as powerful as she claims to be, a temporary alliance could provide them with a means to their end. And if she is just as powerful as she says she is, then becoming her enemy might just send them back to their graves.]
Watch her carefully. We can trust no one but ourselves.
[He rolls up the map, intent on taking it with him to wherever he finds a bed and a lock.]
no subject
[How did Pain sneak in without being noticed? Good question. He's probably not going to tell until he has his say, though.]
I wonder, though, if you'd be willing to tolerate a few more allies until you can find the right time to backstab them~
[He bows.]
Good to see you again, Owl, Viper. Mind hearing me out?
no subject
[His attention quickly strays from the doll in his hands upon hearing the other voice. Pain is a sneaky bastard, maybe being a ninja was part of his skills too.]
I don't mind.
[But it wasn't up to Owl, it was up to Viper. Owl's decisions haven't been the best in the past, so, now wouldn't make them any better.]
no subject
What do you have to say?
[Viper is not impressed by your mad ninja skills.]
no subject
[He turns serious.]
I am here on behalf of the Boss, the leader of my unit. We are looking for allies in this place and your unit seems most capable. I would like to start a partnership between my unit and yours.
Our most recent plans involve the overthrow of Colonel Volgin, who took over here two months ago, and his Soviet minions. He should not have real power here, but since everyone believes he does, he does. We would like to change that...with violence, preferably. If you could assist us, that would be most welcome.
I can't tell you what you will get out of this; Boss is in charge of that, not me. Nor will I ask for a permanent alligience; we both know what happens when two ambitious units stay together for too long.
However, we are a unit that believes in thoroughness and fair play for our friends, and if you want anyone dead or tortured, we can do that with ease. Sabotage and the theft of plans can be somewhat difficult, but we can manage.
And if Owl wants some vengeance on the other me, I would be glad to oblige. I've already brought him suffering once, and I'd love to do it again.
no subject
Oh?~ What did you do?
[He should be really paying attention to the meeting, to this whole joining of the two groups instead of wondering how that man suffered. Even if he would have really liked to have done it himself. Pain is Pain, and suffering is suffering.]
no subject
...
[He crosses his arms and continues to think. Before long, he uncrosses them and and nods decisively.]
Right. We'll work with you. For now.
[His fingers curl into a fist and he sneers.]
But I want first crack at this 'other you'.
no subject
[He smiles.]
Glad to hear it. I'll relay that to the Boss at once.
[He tilts his head.]
He patrols around here. You should also look for this man--
[and he hands him a picture of Alek.]
Hold him hostage, and the other me will come running.
no subject
Really?
[And grins in a thin line of lips with a predatory curl.]
Excellent.
no subject
[He shivers in delight.]
My radio is 553.38. What should I contact you at if I find him first?
no subject
[The trembling intrigues him.]
163.75.
no subject
[He nods.]
I'll keep in touch. Happy hunting, Viper.
