[Just lying still, you'll probably see one of those huge Acid!Style shurikens lying bloody on the floor next to Jack. And a wound which is being covered up by Franks compressing]
[He's in the middle of picking Jack up (Very awkwardly- he misses having two hands, but Jack's small enough that Liquid can prop him against his chest).]
...Hey, Jack. Don't worry, you're going to be fine. I've seen worse than you pull through.
[He shoulders a few doors open. Room full of man-sized stuffed animals? No. Room that looked suspiciously like a Metal Gear hangar? No, not that one either. Room that was, inexplicably, full of water and fish that didn't spill out the open door? Intriguing, but no.]
[Ah, there. The little room on the end. Medical supplies and beds, perfect.]
[Liquid eases Jack down onto the bed. All the room's supplies are close at hand, laid out on the shelves. He peels Jack's bloody clothes away from the wound.]
[The cut's deep, but only hits skin and muscle. Jack's lucky it didn't clip an organ. Liquid presses a thick gauze pad over the cut and looks for the tape.]
Talk to me, Jack. You should try to stay conscious.
If you want to learn how to deflect sharp objects you should at least start with blunt ones. That way, when something inevitably goes wrong, you'll just have bruises instead of dying.

Jack?
[No nephew of his is going to be bleeding all over the floor! Liquid kneels down next to him.]
What happened to him? How bad is it?

...This isn't going to work for long. I need some real supplies.
[He looks from Frank's anxious face to Jack's unconscious body]
I don't know if you can hear me, but I'm going to pick you up. There seems to be at least one medical room on each floor.

...Uncle...Liquid..?

I don't think I can give you any painkillers- they don't list the child's doses. It's best not to risk it.
See? You're going to be fine. The bleeding's already slowing down.

[winces as he tries to sit up]
H-hey, uh... do you have to tell dad...?
[worried]
no subject
Don't move around, you're just going to bleed all over yourself.
[He's suddenly suspicious]
Why? I never did get an answer as to how this happened in the first place.
no subject
Um.... I uh.... tripped and fell...?
no subject
And that's why that other boy was blaming himself?
Jack. I think that you're...
[He makes his best intimidation face]
Lying to me.

U-u-um... well....
[sighs and looks down]
...I told Frank to throw a shuriken at me so that I could see if I can deflect it with my sword.
no subject
And this seemed like a good idea at the time? I suppose I can not tell your father, but only if you've learned your lesson.
[He points at Jack]
Repeat after me: friendly fire gets people killed.
no subject
It worked at first! Next time I'll just stick to using the side of my sword instead of the edge.

...Ninja? Like the cyborg ninja? Hmm...
[Repeated internal facepalms]

So... you're not gonna tell dad, right?
no subject
Just remember that, all right? I don't want to have to patch you up again.

Thanks, Uncle Liquid...
