Just because I'm a redhead doesn't mean I have a fiery personality... or does it
What a complete asshole...
[Meryl was storming down the hallway, still fuming after her run in with the male EVA. He really got under her skin- and not in the way he would have liked, most likely. Men like that... ugh.]
[Finally Meryl came to her destination: a gym. This was a good way to work off some aggression. Not much later, the redhead could be seen punching the hell out of a punching bag.]
[((I don't know. RANDOM POST. Post doing your own thing in the gym or talk to Meryl))]

[A huff of frustration] It's always the same thing with you psychotic women....

[Merrel if you wanted to avoid confrontation, you did it wrong.]
Psychotic women? As if men are any better!

You were staring. Not looking. What; was I intruding upon your territory here or something?
[Rolling his eyes] You're the ones always being selfish and manipulating just to get your way. At least guys don't-- [He pauses. Merrel, realizing that he's arguing with himself and thereby it would make sense if Meryl would harbor his same feelings for the opposite gender one day, exhales a sigh and turns back over toward his weights.]
Forget it.

[She doesn't exactly have the same kind of grudge against men as Merrel might have against women at the moment, but she was still quite irritated, and Merrel was not making things better.]
Finish what you were going to say. I'm curious. "At least guys don't" what?

[Curling his weight again] You're too young to understand.

[Frustrated, she punched the bag again, not making eye contact with Merrel.]
"Rookie", "Too young"? That's a load of crap, and you should know it. I've already been through plenty, and I'm not an idiot. I've been old enough to hold a gun for years so what exactly am I not old enough to understand?

You're not "green" because of any lack in skill, knowledge or enthusiasm. You're a rookie because you still haven't even tried making a real change in your mentality. In the end, holding a gun means nothing. It's what you do with it. And more importantly- why.
[The older soldier walks over toward Meryl; stopping the swing of the punching bag with his free hand as he stares daggers into the young woman's eyes.] Why are you so intent on holding a gun anyway? Certainly not to kill. I know how even the smell of blood makes your stomach churn... So why do you even want to be a soldier, huh? Is it REALLY just to make your family proud? To honor the memory of your so-called "father"?

What do you mean, "so called father"?

[Echoing previous words] ....Forget it.
[The man goes to continue his workout on the other side of the gym]
