Just because I'm a redhead doesn't mean I have a fiery personality... or does it
What a complete asshole...
[Meryl was storming down the hallway, still fuming after her run in with the male EVA. He really got under her skin- and not in the way he would have liked, most likely. Men like that... ugh.]
[Finally Meryl came to her destination: a gym. This was a good way to work off some aggression. Not much later, the redhead could be seen punching the hell out of a punching bag.]
[((I don't know. RANDOM POST. Post doing your own thing in the gym or talk to Meryl))]

...looks like you're dropping your elbow too far on your right side. Here-
[And he takes a step, positioning himself in front of the bag.]
Try it again.

[She'd be happy to oblige. After just a moment of contemplation she aims a right-hook at Snake, though her form is still sloppy from her being annoyed.]

[He raises his hands just in time to deflect the blow and dart forward, catching her wrists and then trapping her against him in a firm hold. He doesn't have to lean down much to speak straight into her ear.]
I know you can do better than that. You're letting your emotions get the better of you.

[Meryl struggled against Snake as he pulled her into a hold, trying to shove him away with her shoulder.]
No I'm not.
[Well, she was, and she knew it. Honestly it was stupid to be mad and she was annoyed at herself for being mad. It was a vicious cycle.]

You are. It's the same thing that kept you from pulling the trigger back when we first met. Not just because you're a rookie. Because that's just the kind of person you are.
[The kind of person that cares. A different emotion, maybe, but the tendencies were the same. He stops himself short of going on about her
beautiful, compassionateeyes, this time.]Everything you feel is important. You should trust your gut. But when your reactions get in the way, it could be the difference between life or death on the battlefield. Hesitate too long or act too recklessly, either way, you're done for.
[He doesn't keep up the hold when she resists again, this time releasing her and stepping back maybe a little more quickly than he meant to. He raises his hands again, defensively.]
[Try it again. Or they could actually talk about what's bothering her. But, violence is cathartic.]

[But just because she's listening doesn't mean she's putting it into practice yet. And Snake calling her a rookie again doesn't do much to help her mood.]
I don't need a lecture.

So what do you need?

Think you can manage it?

[And she throws another punch, this time, though, it looks like she took some of his advice to heart and put more focus into what she was doing.]

Good.
[And this time, without warning, he retaliates. After being laid up a while, he could use the practice, too. Hopefully Meryl isn't expecting him to go too easy on her.]

[It takes her a split second to realize what he was doing, so by the time she reacted, she barely managed to dodge the first punch, but then she's ready to defend against the next.]

You've got good reflexes.
[Weren't expecting your punching bag to punch back, were you, Meryl? He doesn't hesitate to press his advantage, shifting easily from defense to offense, but limiting himself to his fists, for now.]
But you need to pay more attention to your opponent.
