[Those who had been "affected" finally detect a change. It's a sensation of being pulled. Wherever they are, no matter how far from it, they suddenly find themselves forcefully yanked back into their bodies, and the connection is reestablished at long last. All the people that fell a week ago are waking up...]

((Event end! The "affected" are now back in their bodies. ...But if something happened to the body during the week, they have to deal with it. There's no magic healing.))

[Liquid's fingers found Ocelot's bandaged hand and he drew it to his lips, kissing the back of it gently.]

Try not to injure yourself while doing so.

[Ocelot shivered slightly, for multiple reasons. He looped his spare arm behind Liquid's waist to anchor himself from the tug of the current.]

[He tried to think of what he would have done with himself if Liquid hadn't returned in just a week, and found difficulty answering himself.]

I don't care what you do, as long as you don't leave.

The sentiment is returned. But I am going nowhere.

[His words were filled with determination. He didn't want to know what Ocelot would have done. Those seven days alone had been unbearable. Seeing Ocelot in so much pain...]

[Those words melted some of the tension. Ocelot kissed him again, slower this time, letting the cold river slowly numb his body and make his movements sluggish.]

[Liquid smiled into the kiss, his hands moving to grasp Ocelot's shoulders. His fingers massagred them lightly, soothingly. His lips were damp and cold from the water, but they were warming up. He seemed entirely unconcerned with the cold water.]

[Ocelot pressed closer for warmth, leaving no more space between their bodies. The contrast made him shiver. His hands slid against Liquid's wet skin, pressing to hold onto him, while his lips brushed over Liquid's mouth and he opened his own to deepen it.]
