[Jack has been a little preoccupied lately. It's an odd sense of impending doom, actually. Like something really bad is going to happen, and soon. Still, as much as Jack believes in his gut feelings he hasn't shared them with anyone else. It's worse today, but Jack decides maybe he just ate something bad. Yeah, he's in denial already. Still, he feels like maybe he should see Rose. Wasn't she living with that guy version of Meryl now? Well, hopefully he wouldn't have a problem with Jack turning up uninvited. Even if he did, Jack decides he doesn't care. He wasn't there for him.]

[He goes to the door of her new home and knocks; then waits.]

So how have you been?

[He starts pulling the drawers out of the dresser so he can fold the clothes and put them away easier.]

[Noo Jack there are delicate things in there.]

I've been alright. Just keeping busy getting settled in. How about you?

[She's just going to... sit on the bed and look like she's helping but she's pretty much just watching Jack.]

I've been fine.

[He starts folding shirts up and putting them in a drawer.]

I mean, I've felt kinda strange the past couple of days, but... I mean, it's probably nothing.

Strange?

[One thing Rose learned is that weird feelings could very well be something to worry about, with the strangeness that happens in the Nexus every day.]

Well... it's stupid, really...

[He pauses folding up a pair of pants, thinking.]

Like... something bad is about to happen... I just can't shake the feeling...

[He shakes his head.]

But I don't want you to worry about it, it's probably just me being stressed out or something.

[Well now she was definitely going to worry about it.]

I'm sure you're just worrying about things too much. Bad things usually just hit when you're least expecting it.

[Wow, that was supposed to sound reassuring.]

I just wish it would go away, you know? It's not a nice feeling.

[He goes back to folding things.]

[Shut up, she's helpful.]

[Fff hello (clean) discarded underthings, Rose doesn't really want Jack folding those up, she's just going to yoink those away from him and fold them herself :T ]

[Oh come on Rose, maybe folding your underwear would help him feel better!]

It's not like I haven't seen it all before, Rose.

[Still, he doesn't mind if she wants to help out.]

What, do you want to fold my underwear?

[She teases him, picking all of the underwear and bras out of the pile and folding them herself.]

Besides, I told you that you didn't have to clean my room.

I wouldn't have a problem with it.

[He grins at her, continuing to fold up shirts.]

Well it's easier for you if I just do it now, that way you won't have to. Right?

Yeah but... it's rude to make guests do your housework.

[As she folded them, she tucked them into the dresser.]

Were you just feeling the need to do some housework since your house is so clean so you decided to come over to my place?

You're not making me do anything.

[He chuckles as he places clothes in the dresser too; the process of which is unnaturally neat and organized, but at least he doesn't just throw them in.]

Can't a guy just want to see his friend and fold up her underwear~?

I guess, but the latter is pretty creepy Jack.

[She laughed though.]

If you clean every time you visit, I'll have to invite you over more often.

[He puts one of the full drawers back.]

As long as Merrel's okay with it, anyway, but I don't think it would be a problem.

[He's always at the gym anyway.]

Well it's too bad if he's not okay with it, I already told you I'd see you as much as I can.

[Done with the clothes, he puts away most of the drawers except the one Rose will be putting her underwear in. He then pulls the sheets off the bed and redoes them, folding them neatly before propping the pillows up and placing them back on the bed.]

I'm sure he won't mind. And I can always come and visit you too.

[Rose got up off the bed as Jack made it. Man she should hire him to clean for her regularly.]

Yeah, that would be cool. Just make sure you call before you do.

[Which Jack probably should have done, but... at least there was no chance of him knocking with Rose halfway through sleeping with her lover.]

Are you hungry? I think there's some food in the fridge...

Well if you like, I can cook us both up something.

[That way Rose won't start trying to cook. He heads out of the room, then hunts for the kitchen.]

It's the least I can do for you, seeing as you put up with me cleaning up your room~

[As a reward for letting Jack do your housework for you, he'll cook for you too. Your life is so miserable and hard, Rose.]
