[Into the Nexus comes a huge, fuzzy forest spirit. He is carrying an umbrella as well as a little bundle held between two fingers.]

[He looks around and smiles widely. This place needs some trees and other plants, he thinks.]

[So he manages to find some dirt and starts to plant a few seeds.]

[Totoro turns and sees the person behind him.]

[He just smiles widely at him.]

[He stares warily at him... he's not sure as to what to think of you yet.]

[Totoro just smiles back, not saying anything.]

[He hands the boy his packet of seeds.]

[He takes the seeds and looks up at Totoro in confusion.]

[Totoro points at the dirt beside him where he had just planted some seeds.]

[He looks at the dirt, then at Totoro.]

[He shrugs, then gets to planting. He can't deny that he wouldn't mind playing in the dirt a little.]

[He doesn't so much speak as roar.]

[You scare him so badly that he falls down on his butt.]

[Totoro frowns and looks a bit sad. He didn't to scare you!]

[He leans forward and lifts the boy up and sets him on his feet.]

[He stares at Totoro as he contemplated something, then slowly stuck out a finger to poke him with.]

[Totoro just stares down at his belly where the boy poked him.]

[A wide grin forms on his face and he pulls the boy into a hug.]

Ah!

[He struggles only a little bit, but calms down quickly and eventually hugs him back.]

[Oh wow, you're fuzzy. You've just made the grumpiest kid in the nexus smile.]

[Otacon happily hugged the big fluffy Totoro back, commenting mentally how soft he was.]

Sorry to interrupt. Heh. Were you planting trees?

[He nods, smiles, and points at the seeds he had just planted moments before.]

[And because Totoro loves Otacon lots, he hands him a little sack of seeds.]

[His light eyes go to the freshly disturbed mounds of ground, pushing up his glasses.]

Is this for me? [Otacon grabbed the sack and looked inside.] Thanks!

[Totoro nods and makes a happy little noise. He points back at the dirt beside him and grins.]

Heh. Alright.

[He knelt down, dug holes into the ground with his hands, then plopped a few seeds into each dip. The nerd filled the holes in with the soil then smoothed out the ground with his fingertips.]

I guess we need water now, huh?

[Totoro nods and sees a random watering can near the edge of the little garden and points at it.]

[Otacon walked over and picked it up, returning to gently pour water onto the freshly disturbed ground.]

Totoro, are your friends here?

[He, of course, was referring to blue and white smaller Totoros.]

[Totoro nods and points to the ground beside him. From behind him on either side appears the blue and white Totoros, each holding a leaf as an umbrella.]

[The brunette finished watering quickly then squatted down in front of the smaller ones.]

I'm glad they're here with you.

[He cautiously reached out and petted their heads.]

[...Totoro is enough of a cultral icon that even Alfred recognizes him on sight. Well, somewhat.]

[He just smiles in response.]

[Upon hearing the questions he nods and offers Mantis a little pouch of seeds.]

[Dimitri took the pouch and opened it, seeing the many little seeds. Now this was familiar in ways he never thought possible. Spying the dirt, he sits on his knees, rolling up each sleeve so he could get to planting.]

[Each seed got it's own little hole in the ground and after covering up each one, he glanced up at the...raccoon/cat thing. Thing.]
