Avengers ASSEMBLE!

[There was trouble afoot - Scum and villainy needed to be stopped.  Whether you need to cross a busy street, fish your kitty out of a tree, Red Skull was trying to revive the Third Reich, or put a stop to a Skrull invasion fleet before the entire human population was replace]

[Just look for the circular red, white and blue shield - Cap will be easy to spot if you need him or just want to chat.  The Avenger is just standing in the middle of a lobby with an Eevee sitting on one of his shoulders.  He looks around, not entirely sure how he got here, but half expecting that it wasn't exactly something of this world that did it to begin with.]

Oh, Hello there.

[The First Avenger smiled at the other. The Eevee on his shoulder, which was wearing a pink ribbon around her neck, curiously sniffed at the young man. Who was this new person?]

...Are...Are you Captain America??? [This is one big-eyed country, maaan.]

[The young man smells like all of what people imagine when they think of the United States of America, and also like a young man. Both at the same time. Odd, that.]

[...Autumn leaves, hamburgers and hotdogs, apple pie, ocean breezes, bubble gum, fresh cut grass, lemonade, fresh linens drying on a clothes line, gasoline, asphalt.... What in the world was he smelling? For now, the Avenger didn't give it much thought.]

[Chuckling softly, he couldn't help but smile at the awe and wonder in the young man's eyes.]

[Alfred puts his hamburger down on a nearby table, and puts out his hand.]

- I'm - I'm the United States of America! And I'm honored to meet you, Sir!

[He doesn't usually introduce himself to ordinary people this way - But this is Captain America, after all.]

[Blinking a coupl4 time, Steve was a bit beside himself at what the young man just said.]

[Alfred says, trying to project his essential 'America-ness'.]

[Captain America has always been rather special to Alfred, after all...]

[Well... Steve was best friends with a Norse god, and had faced off with all sorts of strange beasts from other worlds.]

Well, it's a pleasure to meet you.

[Smiling, Cap extended his hand to the... country?]

[Alfred grins brightly, and then quickly wipes his hands with a napkin.]

[A firm handshake! Yep, he's a country - Or rather, a personification of a country. Sort of.]

Wow. I...I never thought I'd actually meet you for real, Sir...

[There'd been a reason Alfred had been so enamored with the idea of being a hero back in the bad old days when the Nazi had been on the march - Well, several reasons. And Captain America had been one of the prominent ones.]

[Well, alright, he still probably had a hero complex, but that was just Alfred being Alfred.]

[OOC : There are many theories about how the canon Hetalia-verse Nation-tans actually function, but in this Alfred's world, the USA State-tans and such do exist, and Alfred is the representive of the USA 'family'.]

[A soft chuckle left the First Avenger, as Captain America returned the handshake with his own.]

Heh... well, I'm just a man, just like anyone else. I suppose its more likely than you'd think.
