[She tilts her head, then holds out her arm for it.]

[The part of the bracelet brushed by the antenna instantly corrodes and the piece of jewelry falls to the floor, where it is quickly devoured by the ravenous rust monster.]

[She jumped a little, then calmed down.]

/You eat... metal?/

[She gets an idea and stands up.]

/Wait here!/

[She disappears into a nearby room, and then brings back a handful of silverware and holds it out to the creature.]

[As soon as the rust monster catches scent of the ~delicious metal~ it pounces on the person, antennae brushing over every piece it can reach. Once everything has been sufficiently corroded, the rust monster happily consumes the dinnerware.]

[She laughs.]

/You're really hungry, aren't you?/

[She reaches out to pet it.]

[The rust monster stiffens when the person reaches out, but relaxes when she only strokes its carapace.]

[No longer hungry or in danger, the rust monster settles down to be petted by this nice human. The human is making noises it doesn't understand.]

[She hums a tune and scoots right next to it so she could reach it better.]

[She runs off quickly, only to return with a blanket. She covers it up and snuggles up to it. Maria wanted to watch over it and make sure it didn't get hurt by anyone!]

[But eventually she too falls asleep.]
