[Anyone entering the lobby this day will find it transformed. The walls are plastered with medical posters, there's a screened-off area at the back and there are two separate desks on opposite sides of the room.

On one side, we have the Med Unit! Sara, Anna, Kat and Richard (AKA Eel, Rabbit, Badger and Dormouse) are set up around a desk with a sign over it, reading "FREE CHECK UPS". On the other side...

moviemadmedic seems to have had the same idea. There are also a few posters pasted over parts of the Nexus with the invitation for a free checkup and their CODEC frequencies in case they're needed. The faint sounds of arguments passing back and forth can be heard-]

But- but we were here first!

[Has a british accent, but it's oddly intermixed with a brooklyn accent. Is in his early 20s but probably looks younger, due to his height and such.]

Hello, Ma'am.

[She's so young. He wonders if she's still as movie-mad as the Dr Clark in his world.]

[This James has been Dr Clark's responsibility since he was almost 14, so he knows his world's Dr Clark quite well.]

...Ahh, it's James. [There never was a official Liquid Snake in his world.]

[He thinks about this. She doesn't give him any bad vibes, and she is a Dr Clark, so.]

I suppose I do need a medical exam...

[Hands her some papers. It's basically a medical file for emergencies, with contact numbers, a long list of medicines and medical producures not to use, etc, etc. No in-depth or classified info here, as it's for ordinary doctors to see. The name on top is 'James Mordecai']

[The preface is also in Para-Medic's own handwriting.]

James Mordecai... [She sounds amused at the name.] Well, let's see then. Just take a seat; I'll have to read this through before I examine you.

How long has it been since your last medical?

[With that question, she sets to work reading through it quickly.]

[It was a name his Dr Clark choose for him.]

[The file : Unspecified genetic condition, weaker then normal bones, etc. (That's part of why he's so short and scrawny, compared to the other adult Liquids.) Also a list of exercise with do's, do nots and do not overdo's. Including Yoga.]

[The exam should show that he's in pretty good condition, considering the... limitations.]

...Hm. Sounds like you've been through the spin cycle when it comes to problems.

[She rises to her feet, stepping over to him.]

Can I have your arm a minute? I need to check your blood pressure.

[Shrugs.] I know, Ma'am.

[He's actually physically healthier then he used to be, though, even like this.]

[Grins and rolls up his sleeve.]

Here. - Do you like movies, too?

[Wonders if she's seen Star Wars already. She looks like she came from a time before it was made, after all.]

[It takes her a minute to set it up, wrapping the thick material around his arm and strapping it on.]

Of course I do! Hah, why wouldn't I? Have you been talking to some crazy alternate?

[She laughs playfully, casual and calm. In truth, she came from 1970, just two years before her work would produce the child before her, but she had watched the entire series of movies in her time here.]

[It was good to see that some things were constant.]

Well, no - It's just that I used to live with an older you.

[Till she sent him to school. Or rather, let him go to school. Technically, he's going to school on her orders.]

[It is very odd to see such a young version of his sort-of-mother-figure/commanding officer/doctor/person-who-runs-experiments-on-him-sometimes.]

[But it's nice, too, cause he missed his Dr Clark.]

Did you see the Star Wars movies already? Or Star Trek? You - My world's Dr Clark loves them.

There's a theatre here; I saw them there.

[She smiles brightly, carefully checking his blood pressure for any discrepancies.]

Oh. [This is sort of familiar. He half expects her to start talking about her latest experiments while she's checking him over.]

What about the Matrix series?

I've never heard of it. I still haven't gotten through the backlogs of movies in the theatre; there's a couple of rooms full of them. It could take months. But I'll take the recommendation. Maybe we can watch them together sometime.

[Does this make a second of Snake's children to like movies? The other Liquid she'd met hadn't. She unfastened the sphygmometer and set it aside, making a note as to its results.]

I'm going to need to check your weight; can you take your shoes off? And your coat.

Really? [Grins] I think you'll like the Matrix series, Ma'am.

[He often watched movies with his world's Dr Clark and David when they lived together.]

[Taking his shoes off and hanging his coat up. He is wearing a shirt, unlike some of the other Liquids. ...He's probably about the height of an canon 14 year old Liquid but weighs a bit less]

Well, maybe we should watch them together sometime.

[She indicates the scales beside her desk.]

I'd like that. [Sincere smile!]
