Someone ate the baby, it's absolutely clear. Someone ate the baby, 'cause the baby isn't here.
[There was a baby in the Jungle room. How did he get there? Who knows. This particular baby was very good at slipping his caretakers, especially when he didn't really want to stay with them. It wasn't as though they'd been bad, or that he didn't like them, it was just that they weren't the right person. And, of course, they weren't quite as interesting as the jungle, with all its brightly colored plants and hopping bugs.]
[And big green-brown crocodiles, too.]
[The little baby Liquid was sitting on the shore of a river, looking curiously at one of the big crocodiles that was basking in it. The reptile was looking back at him, head slightly cocked, probably considering whether a baby-shaped snack was worth the trouble of moving to get it.]
[Liquid was leaning forward, one arm outstretched, trying very hard to pet the crocodile.]
Nnhaa--

...hn. As if I needed more proof you were Liquid.
[He was relieved to find the child, though he didn't show it. It cooled his fears. He studied the child for injuries, forgetting his surrounding. It was a fool's mistake. One of the crocodiles, bereft of its dinner, snapped at him and he jerked his leg back just in time. There was a rush of heat and a feeling of wetness, but the pain did not kick in just yet.]
Liquid, are you alright?

[Might want to get out of that room before the crocodiles decide that they'd go for a bigger snack, too.]

Wonder who took care of you all this time...

[It's a good thing that Babyquid can't see all of that blood, or else it might remind him of the last time he saw Snake covered in blood, and how he wouldn't wake up even when he cried.]
[And he's going to say hello to his favorite teething rings now-- also known as Snake's fingers. Nom nom nom.]

Who in the world would leave a baby -
[Looks very carefully at the baby.]
...A Liquid. Hnnh.

[But he wanted to pet the crocodile!]
[This is not a very happy looking baby.]

[The old man and dog beat a quick retreat from the river and the crocs.]
Now be still. [Puts baby down next to the dog.]
[The dog makes a face - Uh, small children. She goes up to the baby anyway, however.]

What in the world were you doing in there?
[Is checking baby over for injuries. It would be nice if he had some contact numbers or something.]
[Is also petting his head.]
