An Unemployed Nerd Enters....
[ Hal Emmerich just lost his job at the FBI. People generally don't like you much if you hack into their central database. Especially the government. Now he's got a bad reputation and no one will talk to him about jobs. He's starting to run out of money for rent and he turned the heat off to save on money to keep his internet. The internet is more important then being warm, after all! ]
[ He goes out for a walk to clear his head and suddenly ends up in a place that he wasn't intending to go. This place is a bit odd, but it sure beats his apartment. ]

...and I think so? Is your name Hal?
[stares as well, quite confused.]

How old are you? I'm new too.
[...Takes the brochure
out of his pocket and gives it to the older him.]

[he take the brochure and looks it over] Ahh, this helps quite a lot! Thank you.

What do you do? Are you an Engineer, too?

Didn't you want to be an engineer?
Do you do Top Secret projects, like Father does? [His Father says he does, anyway. The alternates might not.]
no subject
And yeah, I worked on all sorts of top secret projects and I will probably work on more. I worked for the FBI for a while.

The FBI! Wow! [Shiny adoring eyes!]
Did you fight crime? Just like a TV series...
no subject
Well, no. I worked as an engineer developing stuff for agents to use in the field. Nothing too exciting I'm afraid.

[Hal mimes being shot and falling down. Stands back up, laughing.]
Is it fun, working for the FBI?
