[Everyone who Pain knows is not an Evil Cobra or one of their allies is getting a call on their radio or codec. Resistance, Soviet, dead peple (through Nexus magic!), other hall patrols, civilians, everyone who is not allied with or is an evil Cobra. ]

Hello, this is Pain from the hall patrols. There has been an invasion by the evil Cobra Unit that has resulted in death, destruction and chaos. I need your help to fight and destroy them. Please call me back or meet me in the theater on the seventh floor if you want to help. I'm not asking that you work with any of your enemies, just that you fight the evil Cobras. Avoid them and don't tell them anything if they catch you.

[He's been saying for a while that someone needs to stop them. That someone might as well be him.]

Something like that. An evil version of my unit has showed up and started killing people; I'm trying to stop them.

You come well-recommended. What can you do?

I can pilot a giant robot, but I doubt that's the sort of resume skill you're looking for. I've been trained in CQC by Big Boss and have my own fighting style besides. I prefer to work with bladed weapons, but I'm not dependent on them. In any event, I'd be providing my own, so you don't have to worry about that.

We do have access to Metal Gears, so that could be useful. Our current pilot, though being the builder, doesn't have much battle experience as far as I know. CQC and fighting are both very good; your opponents use the first version of CQC, so having an understanding of it and being able to improvise is good. I'm not sure how useful a blade could be against them--most of them use guns and explosives, but if you could cut off their arms or take out their fuel tank, that could be useful. And we do have our own supplies if you need anythin particularly exotic.

I need information right now. What they're doing and planning, where they're living and getting supplies from, who their allies are, and so forth. Don't start a fight unless you have to. I want to hold that off on an attack until we have all our ducks in a row.
