The New Hal Finds a Room
[Stumbling ever so slightly after three quickly-drank Long Island Iced Teas, Cybergoth!Hal makes his way throughout the weird-as-hell building, Up onto the seventh floor, he makes his way past the strange cardboard-box fort, and eventually sees a door he just feels like trying. He hopes good things are behind the door, and in his liquored-up state thinks about what they could be. He suddenly opens the door, seeing his desires materialize in the room]
"Oh, so that's how it works."
[A futuristic, glass-and-chrome apartment is there, gazing over the cybernetic metropolis of Neuromancer, or Hong Kong, or some mixture. Huge plasma screen, multiple game consoles, an office with a computer based on Intel Nehalem with Cell co-processors, a very well-stocked bar, huge bed, jacuzzi, so many different toys! Hal's usually-serious face lights up like a kid on Christmas morning]
[He debates whether or not to stay alone tonight, or to hold a housewarming. Hal's missing his Dave, but he feels a little down about hearing how unlikely it was Wolf felt for him, and of course Emma's death earlier. But hey, you only get one chance to hold a housewarming. Hal lights up another cigarette and pushes his glasses back into position]
[Up goes a very conspicous flyer on every level] "Attention: The newest Dr. Hal Emmerich (the one with the codename "Hardwire") is currently welcoming guests into his apartment on the Seventh Floor. Wellwishers, current friends, Solid Snakes and other Hals (those answering to the codename "Otacon") are all more than welcome. Introduce yourselves! I only look scary!"
Who wants to introduce themselves to the newest member of the time-space-bending-building?
