This joke is going to get run into the ground pretty quickly
[Meryl didn't have a lot of luck trying to protect the people here, and even her latest little scheme was being ground to a halt just because the building was too large to find anyone. She wouldn't give up though, and she was looking through the rooms desperately.
However, she eventually started to get hungry, and one room had something particularly delicious:
Watermelons. And they looked perfect.
Well, there was nothing wrong with taking a little break, right? She went over to see if there were any watermelons that were already cut, but to no avail. All she found were watermelons, and those stupid swords that anime fans always liked to carry around. What were they called? Katanas? Yea, katanas.
She could have just left and resumed her mission, but she really wanted those melons. She would have to cut them. She MUST cut them.]
((OOC: Anyone who walks into this room will feel the strange urge to CUT THINGS. Likewise, EVERYTHING can be CUT. They can CUT THEIR WRISTS, they can CUT THE GRASS, they can CUT WATERMELON, CUT THE SCENERY, and they can even CUT UP PEOPLE.))

[He moved almost doll-like, oddly-fast, crossing the distance between them to stare into Talib's eyes.]
The bad men... they took me and cut, cut away, piece by piece until there was nothing left but the mind. And the mind was broken, shattered like so much glass - but not so different from before. They simply pressed on the crack, cracks until they broke and they didn't even notice.

There is already an Ivan I live with, so I will call you Raiden unless you prefer otherwise.
[He reaches out to gently caress a metal shoulder.]
And then they put a body back together for you, but didn't repair the mind? They are bad...Unprofessional.
But they did give you a beautiful body...

You like it? Like it? That's new. Most people run and hide or just stare, stare like rude people. Sometimes my mind snaps and I hurt them. Snap, snap and then they're screaming and the voices won't shut up and let me hear what they're saying.

[Talib's hand runs down Raiden's arm, exploring the body. The room was in effect still, but he was able to ignore it like he ignores many of his other impulses.]
Does your mind snap because they run or because they are rude? They should not stare rudely, in any case...admiringly is a better way to look at you.

[Vanya's crazy enough to disregard it too, but only just. His own natural instincts tell him to cut things apart even without the room, after all.]
No... it just snap, snaps because of the strain. They cut too much and didn't put me back together, together so it snaps sometimes. Worse than this. Humans are weak by nature. Their minds are full of crack, cracks that keep spreading. Most humans seal them shut but they never close, close fully. Mine spread too far without being held shut. No going back now.
no subject
It's true. You should hear it more often...
Humans are very weak...they lie to themselves about the cracks, pretend they're not there. Some cracks might be filled, but it always remains so fragile.
You're not a monster like me, though. More than human...Are you an angel, freed from the lies?
no subject
[He lets him, watching him without fear.]
...I'm not? Not a monster? I've been told I am, am... But then, people fear what they don't understand. Everything is thrown, thrown into one big pile with the title of "monster" if they don't know, know it.
no subject
No, not a monster. I know what monsters look like...You're so beautiful, it's a pity people have mislabeled you. I would call you a spirit...A marid, those Jinn who have the ability to grant wishes.

[Alright, Vanya quite likes this man. A lot. He smiles slowly, soft pleasure spreading over his face.]
Thank you. What is your name?
no subject
My name is Talib. It means "Seeker of Truth" in Arabic.

[He offered him a light bow, his movements almost like clockwork but not quite. The more broken he became, the less humane his movements, and he was not far from insanity at that moment.]

I am glad to have met you, Raiden. Are you hungry? I was planning on leaving this room to cook something to eat. Would you like to join me?
[Food tends to relax people, even when they do not eat it. It represents a basic security, that they will not starve.]
no subject
[Smiiiiiiile. It's nice to meet someone who isn't terrified of him.]
no subject
That is too bad...Do you think there may be a room somewhere that will let you?
no subject
[He took the hand gratefully, following him.]
But I don't know where it is...
no subject
[Or Asrar will. Talib leads Raiden through the halls to the kitchen as if he were a child, settling him down in a chair and patting his hair on impulse.]
Can you drink or is that also an impossibility?
[He begins searching for ingredients.]
no subject
Yes, him... He's a nice man. When I was broken by the scary woman, he let me sleep in his room.
...it's impossible.
no subject
Did the scary lady stay away?
[He nods at the answer to the last question and puts some water on to boil.]
no subject
[He rested his head on his hands, looking distance.]

[Good Lord he's collecting the crazies.]
[Collect the set! Trade with your friends and don't forget to send off their tokens for a gift!]
